OEM Winter Mats or Wheather Tech

Just wanted to solicit some opinions. Preferably from folks that have purchased either or both. Old Man Winter hit us with 4-5 inches of the white stuff already and am thinking I need more protection.

Thanks,

Rob

I've got the OEM mats in mine. We haven't had any snow in MN yet, but they fit well and look like they'll do a good job protecting the interior from the snow/salt/sand mix.

I've had the OEM mats and trunk tray for over a year. The carpets look new and so do the mats.

Have had OEM all-weather mats and trunk tray since owning the car. They've been through half a winter, and one spring, summer, and fall.

Couldn't be happier with them. They may cost a little more, but they fit PERFECTLY and are very easy to clean.

I haven't had my mats as long as varanelli, but am satisfied with them. They cover a lot of carpet territory and will hold a bit of moisture (slush, etc).

I have the OEM mats and couldn't be any happier. Black contrasts with the camel interior very well and matches the upper dash area nicely. Acura also has parchment colors as well as a recently released a camel-like color.

I've sent a couple of people to Curry Acura aleady as I got a great price from them:

See this Thread

You may be able to get the mats for $84-$90 + shipping based on what other's have bought them for recently. Remember MSRP is $132.

I've got OEM in my TL and Weathertech in our Odyssey. The Weathertechs have a strong odor and are somewhat generic cut-to-fit. The OEM mats in the TL fit perfectly and are obviously made for the car, taking advantage of the mat hooks on the driver's side.

I'd definitely go OEM having experienced products from both.

I bought the Acura trunk mat but but didn't like the cutout for a cd changer. So, I bought the Weathertech trunk mat but the fit was awful. As someone else mentioned before... very generic cut-out and did not fit well. I wrote and called their customer service and they were very uncaring about the poor fit.

Forget Weathertech, Acura all the way!

I think the all weather floor mats are great - I also have their trunk mat. Great way to protect the interior, imho.

I don't think the OEM all-weather mats are that good. I used them last winter and ended up with salt residue all around the rim of the carpet because they don't hold their volume well. The salt is a b**** to get out, too. I would try WeatherTech but IIRC, their mats are not fitted specifically for our car with its floor-jointed accelerator pedal. I'm trying to decide what to do this winter.

I think the OEM ones need to be cleaned often. I agree they do not have deep groves to hold alot of liquid. However...not having them also makes it comfortable in the event you would drive without shoes. I like them because of the fit with the accelerator pedal and so I am willing to clean them frequently as a trade off.

Yep, I have them in another vehicle I own but what a pain to rest your feet on....

They do work well for the intended purpose (water collection)...but I don't think they will fit well with our hinged accelerator pedal.
