OEM remote opens windows, sunroof?
I was upstairs the other day and hit the unlock button for the wife downstairs. I look out the window and the sunroof is opening and the windows are going down. The doors did not unlock from this distance. I have not been able to repeat this since. I have no mods on my OEM remote. Anyone had this happen before or know of a feature on the OEM remote that will do this?
As a side note, any mods who visit this thread, I can not private message any other members. I have emailed "contact us" twiceand have recieved no reply. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, the remote rolls windows down and opens sunroof as long as you keep the unlock button pressed down. It's in the owner's manual.
Also, you can't access PM until after you have posted over a certain number of posts; this safeguard was recently added to make things more difficult for spammers.

According to the manual, if you press the UNLOCK button a second time and hold it the passenger's doors unlock and all four windows and the moonroof start to open. Once the button is released the windows/moonroof stop opening. This is from a 2007 TL owners manual. Not sure why your doors didn't unlock, kinda strange....

I think the standard is 60 seconds for the auto-relock if a doors is not opened.
It is a "security" feature
i.e. walking to your car from the store, hit the unlock & suddenly remember that list tiem you forgot, that if you don't go back you wife will kill you.....
You don't remember to re-arm the system, it will automatically lock - protecting you.

same one I have
only problem with this module is that I have had to install 4 of them in the past month. (my friends saw mine and wanted me to do theirs too:-)
BUT - this module does not work for all.
If you simply hit the unlock button twice to open everything - the module will NOT work for you.
If you have to HOLD the unlock button on the second press to open everything - the module WILL work for you.
If you have questions PM Kevin. (the guy from the thread listed above)

i personally think that it should be in reverse.. with the key in the door--roll the windows down and sunroof open... I feel the FOB should close everything...

to clarify
You can open all & close all from the factory, using the key in the door lock.
You can open all from the factory, using the remote.
You can open all & close all with teh window module I mentioned before, using the remote.

I totally agree! IMHO the only reason I would want everything opening is that I feel the car is either near me or in a safe place. To me safe is if I am close so that no one would dare take anything form inside the car without my knowledge. So having the key in the door opening everything would work in this case for me.
With the fob closing everything I left open as I was going away from the car this would be ideal.
