I do not know what to do. Saw that other guy self made tool but just socket is like 55$ in napa. At Upull good lower control arms are gone in no time and can not find one for driver side. Found one good for passanger side. Anywhere to buy cheap that "Schley Products Honda Bushing Tool 68100" or 9-circle.
You can use the ball joint kit along with the tractor supply socket to press the bushings in and out. Tractor supply still sells the 2 1/8" socket that you need to press in, you can use some sort of larger item for the "receiving" cup, I think the 3" cup should work from the kits vs the larger napa socket. You can also hammer the heck out of the top socket to get the bushing pressed in, or use a press to press it in.
Big issue is when you take your lower arms off if the lower ball joint bushing stays or comes out. If it comes out you need new lower control arms. Mine did that and I had to replace them since the bushing can pull out again.

If you have the tool or a homemade tool like I made, there is absolutely no reason to mess with the ball joint. My homemade tool cost me about $50 after taxes and military discounts:
A. 1/2" x 8" Grade 5 bolt (press out)
B. 1/2" x 9"" Grade 5 bolt (press in) (10" will work if you can't find a 9", also, the 8" will work, but you'll have to manually tap the bushing in about 3/8" to have enough threads for the nut to catch)
C. Grade 5 1/2" washers and nuts
D. 3 1/4" socket from Napa ($35)
E. 2 1/8" socket from Tractor Supply ($15)
Notes:
1. I did freeze the bushings as previously suggested. They went in very easy.
2. Lightly sanded the inside of the control arm and put a light coat of grease on it and the bushing.
3. You'll want to use a cheater/breaker bar. I used the jack handle. Slid right over my 1/2" Craftsman socket wrench.
Works perfectly!! (And yes, I need to sweep my garage. Having no floor drains in a heated garage sucks!!)
Compliance bushing for our cars is 74mm od per AI google. Will buy bushing press set that has 26 pieces for 80$. Just need one that is 74mm. That one that is original for honda has nice notch that allow socket to slide in bushing just for 1mm or so but do not wort such big price.

Will be here at Friday, if will not be stolen from front of door, will see next Sunday how it will work. Will do some spraying of old bushings and put new ones in freezer over night. It is about time to do something with bushings as I have this car from 2/23 and bushings was bad then.
