Now Soda?!

A while back I posted that someone spit on my TL and left a note "Nice car asshole" on a napkin under the wiper.

Since then, my car has been spit on two other times, and last night someone splashed soda all over the hood!

This has happened in random places, and I do not drive/park like a dick that would instigate someone to do this. People must be very jealous or something.

Anyone else have problems like this with their new TL?

Craziest thing ever...maybe these people have bad history with TLs....perhaps their TLs left them for nicer and wealthier owners. I think that this story just helps to confirm that NY is the friendliest place on earth (J/K)

I have been fortunate enough to recieve many compliments but I make sure I respond in a humble but very thankful way. Never know if you rub someone the wrong way, you could end up with a key mark or dent or soda in your case.

Sorry that happened to you.

I don't think the TL itself is the likely cause. I suppose somebody out there gets angry when they see a new car, but that seems kind of weird too.

I would guess one of the following is true: you are parking your car in a way that's pissing someone off, you have some sort of college or pro sport logo visible on/in the car that someone hates, or you have a secret anti-admirer and should hire a private investigator!

I haven't had any problems with my TL....yet. My last car was a 2001 Saab Vert and the thing was always washed/detailed and looked great. The damn top on that thing was slashed two different times and a few key scratches down the side one time.

I just think people don't like nice cars especially when they are detailed and looking great....they're jealous and automatically assume you're some rich asshole or some prick.

Oh well, your luck can only improve!!

Maybe it is an old girlfriend/boyfriend? Or some other person out to get you?

Yeah, my car is almost always clean and sparkling, so that might be a factor.

Some of this happened before and after my NY Giants plate frame.
I do not park like an asshole, unless normal is considered like an asshole. And I doubt it's the same person because these have been all over the place. If someone followed me to Jersey just to spit on the car, then they have some real dedication.

I just hope it stops.. It's really very annoying and I will be going to jail if I ever see someone do it.

Oh, well, NY Giants...no wonder...

(Just kidding. I actually like the Giants. Or to put it more honestly, they are the only NFC East team I don't hate.)

I've got a Florida Gator plate, which I might not do if I were still living in Florida, or in some other Southern state...but in Baltimore no one gives a rat's patootie about the SEC.

I've never had any problems like this with any car.

Is it possible you pissed someone off (e.g. by cutting them off on the road) and they followed you to your destination and vandalized your car?

You'd never hear of that happening here in the NW.

i never had an issue parking in LI, but when in the city is where it sucks. not so much manhattan because there are alot of cars there period so there will be alot of new cars around. i have never had a problem there. but in queens/brooklyn there are alot of haters. i got my car keyed there and most of my friends have gotten their cars keyed/broken into. i will never park my car in the streets there.

Angry

My past car was a Black ML320, someone keyed it cause I parked in the wrong place, while I was in the process of selling it! I was forced to knock off a grand off the selling price enable to sell it. I had a 2000 Jetta keyed cause some crazy was after my girlfriend.

maybe it's BMW 5-series owners who got smoked by different random TL's and those guys can't take the fact that a car that's $20K cheaper than theirs can look better and leave them in the dust...

just kidding... who knows it might be true... :banghead:
