Is this normal?
I picked up my 06 TL 6MT a couple of weeks ago.
When I accelerate on a straightaway (on the highway for example) the car always pulls to the right. Is this normal torque steer? Am I going crazy? It happens in any gear and even if I'm on the lefthand side of road (crown of the road)

My 6MT drove straight for the first 8k miles with the original rubber.
The dealership changed my Turanza's due to flatspotting and abnormal wear. Going down the highway with the new set on, the car would pull strongly to the left every time I hit the gas.... regardless of speed or which gear I was in. The faster you're going when you hit the gas, the more it pulls.
I brought it back the next day and they rotated the driver's side (due to the left pull) front and rear tires... Front to back... back to front.
The pull went away completely! The car now tracks perfectly straight when I mash the right pedal. I'm not saying that's the answer for you, but it's simple enough to do and may save you a ton of headaches.

So now you have a BAD back tire, what happens when its time to rotate them back?
Brett
It happens in every gear regardless of speed and amount of throttle applied, but is more pronounced on the highway. More throttle = more pull to the right. Tire pressures according to the TPMS are 1psi lower for both tires on the right side. I wouldn't think that little of mismatch would cause that much movement on the road.
This does not happen when coasting, but does show up if I downshift to a gear at 4-5k rpms and will jerk the car to the right. I'll have to try it out if I have cruise control on.
I'm guessing it's a combination of a bad alignment/bad tires. I'm taking into the dealer tomorrow.

When changing tires...always get a full Hunter Road Force Balance......even if you've got to hunt for a shop that has the equipment. I've had similar problems, all cured with a Road Force balance.
Is there a common thread?
Just wondering if the Bridgestone Turanza EL42 is common to all these problems. If it is then Acura and Firestone should do more to help.
I am having a continuing balance shaking problem. Bridgestone claims they don't warrant balance problems and that dealer is responsible. Dealer doesn't recognize that a problem exists. (Says "They all do it"). In my case moving the bad tires to the rear causes a pogo effect.
I will definitely ask about the road force balancer.
Thanks for info.

I fixed my problem FYI. It ended up being a bad tire on the front right wheel, dealer replaced it under warranty. I have the Michelin Pilots on my car though since I have navi. Dealer also did a full alignment and rebalanced all my tires under warranty since I also had a vibration at around 55-65mph-- it is now completely eliminated.
