Nokya Blue-Fog Lights

has anyone installed these in the foglamps. Pics? How do they look. I would like to get some ordered today because I saw a TL today on the road with both lights on. The stock fog lights look horrible. It makes the HIDs less noticeable as well. Any comments and opinions would be great.

Honest opinion? I hate blue lights, headlights, fog lights, turn signals etc... on cars. I think thay look like crap. Sorry if it's not the opinion you were looking for. But it is honest.

Technically they are not the ricey looking "Blue Lights" that just shine blue...these look very similar to the HID look. Just a hint of blue in the white.

This is where I order from...great prices. I had them in my Prelude and they were great! The Prelude were H-1;s which sucked but that is besides the point

Blue lights look rice to me, the only real blue light are HID's. If you get "fake blue" lights, you can tell they are fake blue. If you want some good options for fog lights, SilverStar lights are very white and very bright. If you just can't live without blue, better fork up the 800 or so for HID fog light bulbs. tried PIAA "blue" light on my last car for fogs (integrated as well) and they looked totally rice, almost purple. Just my opinion...

Is there a reason why fog lights are yellow to begin with? I'm guessing it's better for visibility.

Yea the fake blue is out there a lot but I feel the Nokya's dont look bad at all. When I think of the fake blue I am thinking about the bulbs that you can buy at Pep Boys, Auto Zone Etc. like the "Cool Blue" bulbs.

I seem to recall reading somewhere that yellow lights perform better in unfavorable weather. In France, selective yellow headlights used to be required.

If you are going to get some that you would like to look like the HID's, go with PIIA....they cost a bit more, but they last longer and look GREAT. Personally, I went with Yellow Nokya bulbs for the contrast.

VTEC and you have not had any problems with the Nokya's ? ANy install problems? I would love to get the PIAA but my wife would have a sh*t fit if she saw that I spent $100 on bulbs.

I was worried about going with Nokya because I only liked the higher end PIIAs when I used to have the hyper white (HID imitation) type bulbs. I then put in $100 PIIA yellow bulbs and was disappointed. I then tried the Nokyas and have been really, really happy with them. Still, for the blue or hyper white look, I have a lot of friends that use various bulbs, and PIIA super plasmas are beatiful and superior to other brands. Also, since they last longer, the investment may be worth it.

As for install, its really easy..one huge note note though, never, ever touch the bulbs with your fingers. If you do, clean the bulb with alcohol. The oils on your fingers will cause the bulbs to explode. Good luck!

Consumer reports did a study that showed although HID's have more clarity and peripheral light, halogens shine farther although not as focused. That's why I will probably be getting SilveStar's for my fogs, best of both worlds.

From my experience and the experience of my friends (most of whom have modified cars), the Silverstar bulbs are no good...pretty sure I have heard the same on these forums

What's the model # for the fog lights? 9006? I'm thinking of getting the whites/blues.

I just installed mine today. They look good and I think they make a good match with the stock HID's.

PIAA 9006

there's also PIAA H4s but I think the 9006 are the correct ones.

I have the SilverStar in my 98 accord as my main bulbs and they work great.. very bright white, easy to see by, and are not ricey blue. I've had the Cool Blue, Crystal Blue, Toucan Plasma's, and one set of PIAA I think, they are all more bluish, but very short lived on most of them. The SilverStars have lasted a good long time and add some nice brightness.

The "yellow" foglight does have more true fog/rain piercing capability, hence the color and why we call the yellow ones fog lights in the first place. I've thought about getting the yellow'er ones in the fogs to match the 1st Gen TL, but just don't feel like touching the car. MIne has enough problems as is, I don't want to open any panels or seals until I have to.
