The first time I heard that seat belt warning indicator it startled the sh** out of me...lol. I guess thats its purpose. I buckle up most of the time but there are times that I dont which I understand im putting myself at risk and to totally ignore the indicator chirp I crank up the audio system. Hmmm maybe if there are any electricians out here they can offer their educated ideas to help you get rid of that chirp.

can you get a TL buckle from a totaled one, and just clip it in the buckle? Or is that not where the sensor is.

I can never understand this logic. Why would you not wear a seat belt? It's similar to anyone that has recently STARTED smoking - why? Aren't there enough warning signs and news reports to tell you that it WILL speed up your death? The stats don't lie about seatbelts. But yes, put down the flamethrower, I too went to school with someone that DIED because he DID have the seatbelt on and would have lived had he NOT been wearing it - one of the rare occurences. As with anything in life - to each his own - just don't land on my car as you come cannonballing out your windshield

To this day, I still don't understand why anyone would intentionally not wear something that is designed to save their lives.

Don't mean to preach, but I care about everyone...and would hate to see someone die without a seatbeat on, when there is a chance it could save them.

look at Vikrampatel's thread about his TL, he wore a seatbelt, if you were in that situation, you'd wish you wore your seat belt too. Don't be an idiot, wear your belt.

There's not enough personal responsibility in the world these days...we should let people do what they want, smoke, drink, not wear helmets on motorcycles, not wear their seatbelts, etc. Then they can natually select themselves out of the way of the rest of us.

Is there a fix for this? I wear my seatbelt 99% of the time, but sometimes, it's just annoying on short trips....especially, when I run down the street (2 blocks) to grab a 6-pack or something from the liquor store...

if not for your own safety, wear it for the sake of others. if you die or get seriously injured, your family & loved ones will suffer... not to mention that if you aren't wearing your seat belt in an accident, you could injure other people - in minor/moderate accidents, you can potentially injure the person in the passenger seat, and in more severe accidents, you can fly out of the car and crash into other people.

the last time we talked about this on here, the electrical solution was too involved. we came up with the idea of using another belt clip, but the 02 accord and TL clips did not work. just wondering if anyone has found out if an 03-04 accord clip would work or figured out something else.

Okay .. not even going into the many reasons why you shouldn't do this (let's just say most of them involve things I've seen when I used to be an EMT)

Why would you be trying to figure out if an 03-04 accord would work when you know the 04-05 TL will????

Tbone, my mother or grandmother knows someone who was not whering there seat belt and would have been crushed had they been wearing it, impact pushed em out of the way. As for whether or not that would work, it will, if the belt fits. Another study released(in popsci) revealed people who feel more comfortable with something(IE a pro) are more likely to be more careless, or take more risks, resulting in a higher injurty rate.(when I have my bike helmet on I do some stuff I wouldnt do if I didnt). DOes the TL have a seatbelt alarm like my grandfathers Camry, it sounds like some plane just established a lock.

easier to get. although there may be some totaled tl's out there now, but before when we first got these cars you couldn't get the clip.

If I had been home earlier, I would have caught this thread earlier, so I could have closed it earlier.

The management does not condone any discussion on defeating the seat belt warning chime or not wearing seat belts when you should be wearing them, due to safety concerns and legal ramifications.
