Yeaaaahhhhhhhhhhh

So today I was at my friends house. My brother called me and asked me to come outside cause he had to ask me a serious question, I walk outside to his car and my mom is sitting in the drivers seat. Around the corner comes my new SSM 5AT TL. My mom surprised me and went to the dealership to bring my car home while I was taking finals.

Im excited.

Pics will be up tommorow (its dark out now, and its raining )

When I got home after finals today I had to grab my video equiptment and start filming my documentary on hippies(im a right wing, so its funny as hell). One is a self proclamed anti-gvt guy who thinks bush rigged the ellection and was in charge of 9/11. Thats a hole other story, so please, dont respond to thta, just thought id share my day after finals. At 17 you are one lucky kid getting a new acura. Navigation? Its dark now, and its raining too. NE weather sucks. MY first car I will be buying myself a nice integra, the 195 HP one, and adding nitrous and turbo. Or I get a free taurus, ill use that as my beater, if we cant get anything on the trade.

i think the 195hp integra you're talking about is the type r, which is a great tight curve track car, but by adding turbo and nitrous, i'm guessing you're gonna drag with it? if so.... but thats only my opinion

It's really hard adding a turbo or any kind of forced induction on a B18c5 (Type R motor), because the compression ratio is so high stock. (I don't remember the exact number off the top of my head.) A B18c1 (GSR motor) is much more accepting of a turbo. It has less HP stock than the type R, but has way more aftermarket potential.

Anyway, congrats on the new TL.

I wouldnt street race it, unless it was a closed coarse. As for forced induction, I know, Acuras have a really high compression ratio, but it has been done. As far as dragging, again, closed coarse, whether it was legally or illegally closed, I dunno. But I would mainly use the power for acceleration, not top speed. Nitrous would be a later project, first turbo. Maybe they will have a variable turbo charger for the integra by then, turbo lag sucks. Anywho, i get around 200 bucks from my parents on my birthday, you are one lucky kid. As far as teh documentry goes, I hate michael moore. I am gonna try to go out to www.bushstole04.com read the advertisement for their seminar and film that today. These guys thing 9/11 was a president plot. If you have any more Qs on that private message me, I dont want to PW. Navigation?

If I ever raced it, legally, I would build a cage.

Ummm, cage? Turbo? you know you'll have to do suspension and probably engine internal build up as well. Plus electronics. I think you'll re-think turbo when you see the costs of getting all of this stuff. If you are serious about doing a turbo, do it on the GSR motor. its MUCH easier to deal with, trust me.

BTW, please throw away your fast and furious DVD NOW.

Not looking for sympathy or anything, but my dad actually died on 9/11. My mom drives a lexus rx330. I work and get about 3-400 a month so I chip in some money for it as well. So yeah. By the way, its tinted too. haha

Question about the tints, my mom got it done at the dealership. Do they use moleskin? Is it dealer specific if they do or not?

I'm sorry. Just watching that footage is one of the reasons I am signing up. If thats not enough to deal with I got these people down the street saying GWB planned it. I am in no way sayin you don't deserve the car, I was just under the impression your parents had bought it for you and got you the spoiler and all. I doubt that until I have a real job(doctor, after the corps) I will ever be able to get myself a car like that, and as for my parents gettin it for me, yeah right. Have fun, good choice.

what a great birthday gift! when I was 17, I think I got 50 bucks.

I dont mean to sound bitter, but I believe that cars should progress with age. When you're 16-19 or so, you drive the family beater, an old civic or a 92 taurus. 20-23, drive an integra or prelude. Then if you get a great job, go get whatever you like with your money.

Who knows...maybe i'm too old school...at 17, I was begging my dad to drive his 75 Chevy Malibu!
