Newbie : What Accessories would u buy

I just took delivery of my 2008 TL yesterday. Great car and I'm really enjoying it. As part of my deal with the dealer I have $695 US free to spend on dealer installed accessories. I'm not sure what to get. I thought about the Carbon Fiber steering wheel, but it doesn't look any thicker than the standard wheel. Is it? Does it look weird if u don't add the other Carbon Fiber trim pieces.

I'm also considering the deck lid spoiler and the mud flaps. Do they add a lot to the car's appearance?

Are there any other accessories from Acura that you cannot see on their website that may be something that is a must have?

What would you buy if you were in the same position as me?

Any input would be much appreciated. Thanks.

If they don't count the a-spec kit/spoiler as an acessory then I would definitely say to go for the CF steering wheel and console add-on trim and all-weather mats. No aftermarket substitutes for that stuff.

part of the apsec is listed and would include all the body pieces: trunk lid spoiler, side skirts, front and rear bumper pieces. then there is the upgraded suspension and brakes, which is probably not listed on the site. The split five spoke aspec rims and tires, which should be on the site. there was also an aspec steering wheel which IS thicker then the stock and also has blue stitching and some extra grey leather pieces, but i am not sure if this is still offered.

the body kit and wheels look awesome, if thats what you want, but the brakes and suspension do the most to the performance.

i say save up and get it all.

and personally, i dont like the mud flaps. i would skip those and put the $ towards something else.

If you have a regular TL and not a Type S, the carbon fiber steering wheel doesn't really go with your car. It's really goes with the Type S models. The A-spec kit IS very nice. But if they're talking about true "accessories", like the accessories from the website, the color keyed splash guards are a must. All weather floor mats are great. Definately look into getting a lip spoiler, not the winged spoiler (similar to the Type S spoiler). The trunk tray is very nice-it keeps your trunk looking good and clean. Plus wheel locks are always a good idea along with the door edge guards. Many people don't like the door guards because it takes away from the lines of the TL, but they're definately a help with door dings. They do have front and rear spoilers, but I'm not sure if they're as cool as the A-spec styles.

rubber mats, under body spoiler/lip kit, and trunk tray.

IF they still have 18x8.5 aspec wheels, you should consider, but the chance is very slim.

I just bought an 08 as well. I just picked up the Splash Guards (flat black), All Season Floormats, and the Trunk Tray. The factory body kit looks clean, but for some reason I like the front lip for the 04-06 better. In any case, I think the car has beautiful lines even without the factory lip/skirts. Plus I think my wife would scratch them on our high driveway. I'm keeping this one clean and simple Congrats on your purchase btw!
