Hey, just bought a '05 TL with 37k on it. Take delivery next week...any issues/problems that I should be aware of on the TL

 

yeah i belive the 05 hade a problem with the bad power steer hose where it may crack if it under high temperature for a prolong period of time.

also the windshield wiper motor had some problems with water getting into it and malfunctioning.

You should check up with the dealership if these issues had been addressed.

 

they are recalled parts, so you shouldnt have to pay for it either

Wow, that thing was never driven. My 05 had 52K miles when I got it. Nice grab.

 

My dad has an '05 with about 88K on it. Never one single problem with it; a few annoying rattles but he hasn't had to put any additional money into it besides regular maintenance.

I got my 05 about a month ago with 35k on it and I love this thing. Best looking car Ive owned and I cant wait to start the mods.

If you're getting the 6sp, may want to take notice of "notchiness" or difficulty in engaging 3rd gear. There are TSBs out about this issue. My 05' with less than 30k on the clock had this issue.
