New guy/ New owner

Hey guys I'm new on here been a honda owner my whole life and I've been on the search for a 6mt TL for the right price, and in the right condition. I finally found one that I really liked a black 04 6mt non-navi it had a couple bumps and bruses but for the price i couldnt pass it up. So I went and looked at it and test drove and I fell in love instanly ofcourse. The milage is at 108k thanks to me on the trip back home and it runs great. But i already had to do a few things to the car that i would expect with a used car but i had to do the oil change ofcourse, then i had to do front pads, and now im in the search for rims and tires cause my tires are done for, and my rims are curb up. But my main concern with the car is that when i turn the car to the on position not start just on for all the lights to come on on the cluster one light is not on and its the cel (check engine light) idk whats wrong with it but if you guys could please help i mean the car runs great i love it.

ill get pics up soon for and you guys can tell me what you think

Welcome.

Do you have service records? There is a pretty big service that needs to be done at about 105K that included the Timing Belt. You may want to make sure that was done.

This is what mine looks like but it is an 08 not an 04. The engine light on mine comes on and is on for a couple seconds then goes off.

I would take it to your bothers shop or parts store that will pull engine codes for free and have them check the ECU for trouble codes. That CEL not lighting up could be as small as a burnt bulb or as big as major issues they tried to hide by removing the bulb for the CEL.

Look in the wheel section, there is a thread on fittment and what you can get away with back spacing wise. The knock sensor issues will cost you power and gas mileage, so I would address it as soon as you can.

Congrats Welcome to AZ! Check out the 3G garage for tons of info. Also register your TL at www.myacura.com in the USA or https://www.myacura.acura.ca/ in Canada. Save your Navi and Radio codes there. Check for any recalls your TL may need.

You must go here: www.myacura.com, create an account. Go to "Service and Maintenance". Then on the left side toward the bottom click on "Recalls". Type in your VIN and it will check for any outstanding recalls for your model.

You may have to check with your dealership to get that info. Does anyone else know how to get a maintenance record on a vehicle?

alright guys im looking for some opinions here i took the tl to my bothers shop cause i had a serious vibration in the front when i went over 60 i thought it was the tires but just to make sure we put it on a lift and checked out the lower control arms and all the bushings and everything in the front to see if anything was wrong and we found out that the two front compliance bushings where bad so i ordered some oem ones and i was wondering if you guys thought i should fill up the open spots on the new ones with window weld when they get here before i have them installed
