Type S Aspec Kit installation cost?

Hi, i'm about to buy a full A spec kit for my 08 type-S and i want to know have anyone on here ever get it installed by the dealer if so for how much? I called two of my local dealers and they both wanted $400ish for installation which cost more than half of the A spec kit itself. I know there are DIY out there to do it but let just say I'm not the best when it come to cars. All i know is rotate tires not even oil change. please help me! Thanks

Dragon, go to the SE Regions section of Acurazine to see if there's any Acurazine member in Orlando that might help you with the install.

Just take it to a collision center, they will be able to install it for probably less than 400. mine installed my front aspec lip for free while the car was in for something else...

PS is there a vendor that i can purchase just the rear aspec for type s?

K, i will try that now. Hopefully someone out there will help me. I'm not paying $400 plus tax for installation

Do it yourself, get a friend to help you, it's not that hard.

You need to remove some 10mm bolts, clips, screws, take that sucker off. Drill some holes where it is marked, and bam bam!

You're done, and you can use that $400 for a J-pipe.

I would love to save the $400 but i'm afraid to mess it up. I will order it soon and "will try" to install, hopefully it will go smooth and no mountain to climb lol

Seriously, brother...break that modification hymen and join the big leagues. If you have ANY questions there's a small army here at your disposal to help, and it's...well, it's almost hard to eff it up. You'll be seriously happy you did.

Honestly Dragonsking, like almost everyone has said...try it. $400 is a lot of money to spend on something you can do yourself. Every Acura manual has that same disclaimer btw..their way of avoiding law suits and the like. Find a buddy or just take your time - even do it over the course of a weekend if you want/need to. I'd never done anything like it before, and I hammered mine out myself in one day.

I'm sure there are a ton of members in Fl that would be willing to help for a little bit of change. If you was in Tn I would help for free.

Just do it yourself. Its really not that difficult. If you not really good at working on your car its a great place to start learning.

What is the most complicated thing you have taken apart and put back together.

To me, I think installing the aspec kit requires similar skill level as putting together a computer desk.

Nice car Anakalia! Do the kits come pre-painted from Ack? Any Canucks get it? Do customs kill the savings?

Yes it comes painted. It is OEM so the paint match was perfect.
