New Brake question

It's about that time that I am going to have to get new front brakes. I have 15k mi and the rotors have already been resurfaced once at around 8k mi. I am feeling the pulsating again in the brake pedal. I have hear that the acura rotors are crap.

Two Questions:
1. Is it possible and/or worth it to change to the brembo rotors?
2. How long are everyones brakes lasting (in Miles) before changing pads/rotors

I just measured my pad thickness the other day when rotating tires. Just a bit over 10% of the material has disappeared, and thats in 20,000 miles. At that rate, my pads should last until the 105,000 maintenanance point when the timing belt should be replaced. I will likely need new rotors then, also.

1. I assume you have a 5AT since your car didn't come with Brembos. The Acura factory Brembos only come with the 6MT. You CAN buy aftermarket Brembos that fit nicely. As to whether that huge expense is worth it, only you can answer that.
2. I am still on my original rotors and front pads at 49.5k miles. My rear pads wore out and needed replaced somewhere north of 30k miles (sorry, too lazy to dig up my post on the subject). Your brake situation is a bit unusual. The rotors were definitely crap in the 2G TL (which I also owned), and are less crap with the 3G TLs. Hopefully, your dealer will give you satisfaction in dealing with this.

thanks for the feedback, since it seems like my brakes wore out faster than normal, do you think that this is something I should ask the dealer to fix free of charge?
p.s. I am not that hard on my brakes

yep, i also heard AT tl's have shit rotors, i had to get them replaced at my last oil change at around 12k miles. It's kinda annoying but better than hearing that screeching noise on your turns.
