neuronbob's newest TL mod

The other moderators already know about this, but this new TL mod is the reason I haven't been around the last few weeks. If you sent me a PM and I haven't answered, this is why...

Our baby is 3 1/2 weeks old now and the missus and I are pretty sleep deprived....

Sleep deprived? Oh yeah, I remember those days.

I'm getting ready for the second round of sleep deprivation as child #1 starts her driving career!

I'll end up with that same mod, but i noticed the way you have the childs seat. is that safe with the side curtain air bags? i know the seats have it so the chair is facing the other way, just want to know that yours and ours will be safe in that position. congrats!!

A belated Happy Fathers Day, This is one of the reasons I purchased a TL. For room in the back seat.

For the extra safety for your child, please put the car seat in the middle of the back.

The side curtains do not pose the threat to rear-facing (or forward-facing, for that matter) child seats that the frontal airbags do. The baby's seat being right there is too low for the side airbag to contact it. The only thing the side curtain would do in that case is shield the baby from glass from the breaking windows, which is a plus.

The safest seat in any car, though, is rear center.

Congrads!!!!

I think you should also invest in the TL seat savers (aka Two Stage Car Seat Protection by Prince Lionheart, Inc.).... it eliminates the possibility of seat cushion indentation (aka shoe scuffs). I have one in my TL and it's incredible... it also works as spill/crum barrier...lol
