love the s , meeting with dlr monday , I have an issue with the comfort of the seat. Currnetly have an 04 tl , tls seats are a tad shorter and the leather seems harder . Has anyone driven long distance 5+ hours and found the seats comfortable . I know this is a performance car and the seats are expected to be more supportive but did not expect them to been stiff as a board. Do they give more with time . Is seat adjustment the answer , or just suck it up and enjoy the car . By the way I'm purchasing an automatic and do't have an issue with the hard rise , it just does not have the thigh support that my 04 has . Appreciate your comments and suggestions , wise guys need not respond.

I hear ya, I'm 6'2 and thought the same thing about the seats at first. The leather does give a bit over time though. One of the reasons I went with my TL-S is because of the leg room length, and cabin space. You eventually get used to the shorter seats, and figure out the best adjustment to get comfortable. I've driven 5+ hours on a few occasions, and it works out ok in the end since the car is so fun to drive.

Mine is comfy. Yours may need breaking in. I know my Impreza seats are super comfortable, even on 20 hour drives. Longest I've done in the TL-S is 3 hrs, but zero complaints.

I do long trips all the time in my RepMobile. I am a strong believer that Firm seats are better over long distance than soft seats. They should soften a little over time, but hopefully won't become mushy.
I also think seat position is very important. You can't lay back and stretch to reach the wheel AND be comfortable on a long trip. You've got to sit up and be reasonably close to minimize fatigue.
I've only done about 4 hours in the TL-S and it was fine. A bit longer (or, even better, adjustable) thigh bolster would be nice though.

You didn't say how tall/big you are, so it is hard to judge.
I am 6' and slightly over 300lbs and am very comfortable on long drives. I do not have any problems with the leg support, the only issue I have is that I am a little wider than the seat and occasionally I feel the side bolsters digging into my kidneys. I usually just shift a little in the seat to find a more comfortable spot and I am fine.
I think you will enjoy long drives in the car.

Seat is a little stiff but no problem with a 3 hour drive. I had an base Tl 06 sure is a lot softer, but the tls seats have narrower width, but I didn't regret the change tho, Oh by the way It helps if you have more cushion back there. Lol!

The correct driving position is one of the most overlooked aspects of driving.
Adjust seat fore to aft first of all to get good brake/accelerator position. Brake leg should be slightly bent when you apply full force.
Then play with the steering wheel adjustments, and seatback angle to get comfortable. Then readjust so that your wrists sit comfortably at the 10 and 2 o'clock position on the wheel.
Sitting too far back creates alot of strain on the lower back, and minimizes control when you really need it.

I'm sure others may have differing opinions on the driving position, but this is what I was taught in my first driving school (Bondurant)
