Need left rear LED light bar
Hi ~~ Any suggestions on where to get an OEM LED light bar?
I need the left rear LED only. The red plastic covering and wiring are fine.
My mechanic suggested I look online because from the dealer, it is something like $330. not going to happen!
Thanks much!

Check you local listings for the complete tail light. Very rare to find just the LED strip. Ebay should have some as well. Some of the Craigslist listings will have accident cars for part out. If there is rear taillight damaged TL you could have it your way.
OP certain parts for our 3G tl's do not need to be OEM. The side markers are a perfect example. I have DEPO smoked rear side markers and they fit and work just as well as the OEM ones. I have been using them for over a year now and no problems. The smoked rear side markers look much better IMO as they match the front LED side markers. The Type s model TL's come from the factory this way. Use your broken side marker as the incentive to upgrade the look of your Acura for cheaper than OEM. No luck with a local or regional salvage yard, unfortunately.
1) So, has anybody used go-parts.com ?
They have a:
2004-2006 ACURA TL TAIL LIGHT REAR LAMP - LEFT (DRIVER) (OEM #: 33551-SEP-A01) for $55.95 compared to an OEM LAMP UNIT on oemacuraparts.com for $126.71
Is it unadvisable to use a non-oem part in this case?
2) On oemacuraparts.com, what's the difference between buying
OEM LED UNIT, L. - 2004 ACURA TL (33552SEPA01) for $121.86
and the aforementioned OEM LAMP UNIT, L. - 2004 ACURA TL (33551SEPA01) for $126.71
I see the visual difference of the two, but on the LED unit, I'm not sure I'd be getting the LED light bar.
MANY THANKS!!

Some of the aftermarket lights are great...Depo for instance. I changed the tails on my TL when I owned it to Depo TLs taillights and they fit great and looked great. If you don't do both at the same time you might have 2 different colr lights, which will look crappy. Try Ebay too as he said ^ there.

I'll check again on eBay. I hesitate to get used ones b/c I don't want them going out anytime soon.

[QUOTE=thoiboi;15666883]it's not a "light bar" per se, it's an entire tail led board so you'd be replacing the entire board behind the tailight.
Thanks for clarifying this. You cleared up my confusion. My mechanic was calling it a light bar so no wonder I couldn't find it anywhere.

LED Unit: the part that actually lights up (with the electricals): a la what you need
Yes, this is what I need. The plastic housing is still good. Oh, this is perfect, thanks so much for sending both of these images!!

Did your mechanic check the electrical pins for the tail light or just guess that you need a new board? The reason I ask is I also guessed and found that I had a broken wire instead. You need to remove the felt trunk liner to get to the connectors so hopefully your mechanic used a multimeter to reach this assessment.
