Question Need Info about New 04' TL's Engine...

Hey Everyone, Im from the Acura-CL boards...a question was brought up over there....

The 04' Tls engine is a V6 with 270 Hp w/ optional 6spd tranny....we were trying to deside if the new 04 Tl's engine could be swapped into a CL, tranny and all, thus giving us the fun of haveing a 04 TL engine with 270 hp and a 6spd tranny in our CL's....so yea...

Does ANYONE have picts of the 04 TL engine, specs, and engine name...(ex. B16 or J30) So Yea, any info would help! Thanks!

the engine code is J32A3. it would be cheaper to get the Jseries supercharger from comptech and you will get alot more hp and tq. im pretty sure it will drop in the cl's since it is a J series. a CL-S 6 speed should boult on to it .

Why would you spend thousands of dollars to get 10hp?

He has a CL, only 225 HP. The new engine would give him 45 more HP. It's definitely not worth it for a CL-S, only 10 more HP.

no no no....for us guys who have the 97-99 3.0 6cyl means we onyl have 200 hp and NO Option for a stickshift....

So this would benifit us with 70 HP more tq, and a chance to have a 6speed manual

besides, it was just an idea...its not like we have 6g's in out pocket waiting to spend..

Wow, you are going to do the repo of that car?? Then you should put Ferrari engine in there. I bet it will give you heck of the horses and tq... By the way, it's V12. Make sure when you drive it, the paint will not fall off.

Yes, it will fit, even in the older CL's. You'd be better off getting a CL-S engine and stickshift though. Its a lot cheaper and you're only losing 10 hp. Get a CAI to make up for it.
