Any Ideas on Color. I am having the plastic pieces painted to match the body. Thought about painting the cover dark grey and the lettering Black Chrome or polishing it.

I did wrinkle black with sanded/polished lettering and I like it. Would be a good option for you too probably.

Whatever color you choose make sure that the paint is high temp such as engine or caliper paint. If not the heat will just make ordinary paint fall off

Might I suggest white letters on a red engine cover? I'm thinking of the contrast effect upon opening the hood.

Get the intake manifold cover PnP'ed to look like chrome, and get the engine cover wrapped in carbon fiber. That's what I'm in the process of doing

^^^^^ Exactly ^^^^^^^ Just bake it at like 200 for 15-20 mins and it'll wrinkle up nicely.
