Exclamation Need help fast!!!!

Ok so I need to know what would happen if I cut the plastic tubing right where the yellow line is shown?Here is the image as it sits now.




Here is where I want to cut:



If anyone can give me immediate advice I would appreciate it greatly!!

That's just the intake resonator. Lots of people take it off. Won't do any harm. So in answer to your question, yes you can

Don't cut it...
Just remove it.
That way if you ever want to put it back, for whatever reasons, you have less of a head ache.

Ok. From which point do I remove? Right next to the air filter or a diff location. I want the easiest thing to do. I want to be able to put a CAI on in the VERY near future and dont want to have to deal with the headache of bumper removal!!

just undo the bolts that hold it on and yank it off.....easy as pie...lol

well you would still have to remove the bumper to put that rubber shock in that holds the intake in place.....it bolts in to the area where that intake res is that your gonna take off.....buy one now and throw it in....

idk of a place in memphis that has 1 in stock...I'm gonna leave it alone 4 now. I'm worried if I cut it if water could get up in it and become a bigger problem

JUST DO IT!!! thats called the "resonator removal" mod... Its Free, plus you'll enjoy the sound a bit.

if i were u mang, just wait till u put ur CAI on and its now hard to take off the bumper, its just a biiizzzzieee to put it back on!!!!! gl though

what about if I hit a water puddle. A big one while im doing 35mph or so? No worries of backsplash? A;so would I wanna cut it or pull on it till it comes out?

Only the intake portion. You shouldn't be hassled about it too much when you take it to the stealership.

If I just grab this resinator and pull on that bitch, its gonna come loose from the underside of the air filter? is this ok to do?

Ok it's done I pulled it out!! It wasnt easy though!! aybe I'll get a mile or 2 better per mpg!!
