GTS Sunroof Deflector

Every car I've owned has had a sunroof deflector except this TL. The only reason is because I am not crazy about the way the OEM deflector looks on the car. The way the roof slopes on our cars with the profile of the deflector just doesn't look right to me. But I do get a lot of noise/turbulence with the sunroof open, I could really use the functionality. I remember what a difference deflectors made in my past cars.

On my old MB 190E back, back in the day, I had a GTS sunroof deflector. (yep, GTS. Remember they used to make those smoked acrylic headlight covers, lol....I used to LOVE those.) The deflector was called Windgard. Not Windgard II that is higher profile and doofy looking one, but the Windgard I that is really low profile and sleek. I remember at the time I was disappointed after special ordering it because I thought it was too low profile (For the spoiler/scoop fad of the 90s, lol) compared to the deflectors at the time like Benevento.

It is a universal application and seems to look somewhat appropriate for today's time. In my mind I don't think it would look half bad on a TL. Anyone use this on their TL? Any pics?

I have to agree with 07tl-s6spd. I have always had them on all my cars to and I just bought a 2010 TL and I just think it screws up the lines of these cars.

My car has one....wish I could take it off. Previous owner bought it assuming when the car was new because underneath there are literally dozens and dozens of pits that are practically down to the bare metal.

Well like I said I don't like the way the normal OEM ones look on a TL either. But I like the way it functions because it totally cuts the wind noise.

This particular one I am talking about is very low profile and sleek, it's not the OEM one (just reread my post.) I was wondering if someone had a pic of it to see what it would look like. You never know, it might look OK.
