Need Help ASAP my car just died today

Car won't turn makes really fast clicking sounds and have the dash lights blink when attempted to start. I think its the alternator, i can lock the car w/ the remote and open the trunk so the battery still must be good right?

also i have a amp hooked up to my car with a cap, once the dealer sees the power line they will deem it out of warrenty right?

I never turn my music on when the engine is off and don't bump my subs loud enough to crank out some serious juice. what gives?

i read somewhere there is a battery defect, where can i get some documentation to show the dealership?

im stuck at work so i need to know my options asap as i will be calling AAA in about an hour

TIA

oh yeah i only had the car only for 2yrs wtf! my 99 maxima never gave me any problem even when i had a full system in it

The battery is dead. It can't produce enough current to turn the engine over. (clicking sound) I just replaced my battery (2 yrs old) same issue. do you live in a hot climate?

Dead battery. It's a honda problem. We have a 05 Odyssey, we're on our third battery.

Definitely the battery like everyone has said. For what it's worth Consumer reports just rated the Interstate (#1) $90 and EverStart (#2)$60 24f batteries as the best for our car.

I have always used Diehard Golds as replacement batteries if the OEMs die. They are reliable and powerful.

As I learned from my thread on battery death, the yellow top is better if you have lots of electronics and use them with the car off. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

oh yeah, forgot about your extras. i'd say yellow top then. a few of my friends that have a bunch of electronic goodies use the yellow tops. thats a pretty good price for it also.

I was 1 month too late as well, so I went and got an interstate battery. I don't like to reward subpar oem parts with another purchase.

I know the extremes in temp cause batteries to die.

curious, why pay $168 for a battery when a $69 one is higher rated? What's so special about Optima?

Good for guys that have aftermarket systems in the car, well i installed the battery last night and everything works great! car starts up super quick and subwoofer hits better than ever.

There was a slight fitment issue, i had to tug the postive terminals out of the clips and now i can't put the battery cover on unless i do some trimming on the piece, i might do that later but just as long its hot outside i'll leave it off. I'll post up pics up tonight when i return home

makes me want to swap out the battery NOW in my 05. 11k miles on it (bought it 7 months used w/ 7700 miles on it). i'd rather pay the $$$ now and not risk being stranded somewhere. grrrrrrrr.

I've had mine about 30 months without even a hint of a problem, but living in the North East, I guess I'm apt to have better longevity. For what it's worth, I got 8 years and 3 months out of my OEM 94 Accord battery.

Im just curious, how fast do you have to get pulled in an automatic to start it (if it was the last resort)?

I have never heard of anyone even trying this with an auto. Don't think it matters how fast you are pulled. I believe all that speed gets lost in the torque converter.
