just made this video last night showing how the Isimple unit does in fact pause when making a call or receiving a call with the IPOD on. A little lengthy due to my g/f not calling me back on the first attempt. check it out, any questions give me a pm.

From what I saw from the video it didnt pause your ipod. When you played "Born too slow" you made the call at :48. After you hung up it resumed at 1:16.

I have this in my car as well. It looks like it is "muting" not "pausing". If it was pausing the song would resume where it left off when the call came in.

I agree that the sound does switch from the song to the hfl when a call comes in but I don't think the song actually pauses...

on the Lupe, I saw him in concert and he is great
on not having the nav hack w/ the ok button crack

Good news is that there is going to be a new wiring harness for the iSimple, coming out soon, that pauses the ipod when you use HFL.

yeah, the new harness is out but it is only for cars w/ xm traffic which are the 07 and 08 I believe. I have an 04 so this does not help me

is it just me or when you say no it stills calls u can actually say any thing and it will still dial

Just FYI, you can just say "Call Amanda" in one sentence instead of "Call", (What name or number would you like to dial), "Amanda" and it will do the same thing. Saves a few seconds and less button presses.

^^I was about to write the same thing... you can just say "Call Amanda" altogether.

When you click 'Call' button the system takes the answer as 'Yes'. If you want to cancel a call then you could just press the back/cancel button. At least thats how it is in my 04 TL...

Glad to see yet another video of this amazing product. I am sure you saw my setup. The I-simple is great but like we were telling you before, it doesn't pause.. I-phone will pause but not the i-touch. Nice video anyway.

i actually ran the cable into my middle console where the change is at to make seem more factory. and yes, saw the video which inspired me to make this video

Are certain the new harness is available for the 07 and 08's? with xm/traffic? I thought it was scheduled for release later in Q1 09. I couldn't located the new harness on their website.

The only harness that pauses ipod is the one for the navi-traffic versions of the TL....

Anyone who is thinking of getting this

DO IT! This thing is awesome, I love mine. I have an 04 TL so mine does not pause but it does mute. I believe the new harness for the 07-08 w/ xm traffic is available now, go to the website and use the contact us link to inquire about it. Also if you have a 4th gen ipod or a iphone you will need this in order to charge it

just search Scosche passPORT and you will find it. I think they have it at the apple store too. If you have an older ipod I think it will charge by itself, I dunno since I have a 4th gen... Anyway there are tons of threads here about install and whatnot it is very easy and can be done in about an hour or two. Be sure to update your unit with the latest firmware (from Peripheral website) before installing, this is very easy and only takes 5 mins.

I got mine at BestBuy and I have a 10% off coupon good till 1/31 if anyone wants a copy of it pm me and I will email it to you.

Hmm interesting. Dice R4 Silverline unit pauses the ipod during HFL. It comes with the cable that charges the ipod/iphone too. Jump back on the Dice bandwagon folks.

ah I found my answer in how its different. i knew it was something. my memory is starting to fail

"You can have navi display and ipod text display, you just lose XM.

BUT, there is a new unit by peripheral (and sold at best buy even) that allows you to keep EVERYTHING. I'd suggest that one over the dice now."

oh not sure about the non-navi but for the navi it does with text.

Edit: I don't care for xm so it doesn't matter to me but there are some things you can do on the isimple that the Dice can't, but it's not a big deal.

Just to let everyone know I received an email from Peripheral saying that the harness for 07-08 to keep xm, xmtraffic, WILL NOT be available until March at the earliest.
