I just bought a type S yesterday (auto) , and noticed that when I slow down, I notice a little bit of a shift/jerk when the gear shifts down from say third to second and second to first... It's not something I'm used to with other cars and was wondering if this is normal for this car...

When I test drove a type S last week I noticed a bit of the same jerk/shift when upshifting (auto) and the person told me it was normal and that all type s's have em. So is that also true when the car downshifts as well?

 

its normal. i have a type S too.

 

yes its totally normal, however you might want to do drain and fill three times to make that shifting smoother, I am on my first drain and will replace 3rd and 4th pressure switch when come to the last drain and fill.

 

Yea for some reason all TLs shift kinda hard and I've heard it's like that for most Hondas

 

I don't have the Type Sex model, but it does that on mine too.

Very true.. it's even more noticeable after a 3x3 with Redline Type F
