Angry My TL got damaged

So I went to Texas Motor Speedway last night for the Indy race. I was having a good time up until I got to my car when it was time to go home. Looks like some idiots got into a fight next to my car and put 2 dents right on the design line of the passenger's side rear quarter panel.

I swear people have no regard for other peoples property.:angryfire

Yea I hope so. I filed my claim today and shall see how much they think it will cost. I left all the smudges on the windows there so they get an idea of what happened to it.

THats no good sorry to hear that. Some people just don't have any respect for others property. I can't imagine damaging someones car and then not telling them.

I hope so, being that one of the dents wich is the bigger one is on the indentation that goes down the side of the car. The back side marker light is even sticking out a little since it is right next to the dent. Guess I gotta wait to hear from the adjuster and find out how much they think it will cost to fix.

well I dropped the car off today at the dealership to get it fixed. I don't know what the total cost is going to be, but my deductible is $500. I ended up getting a Ford Five Hundred as a rental. That thing feels like a boat! I also has some paint bubbling on the rear bumper before this happened. I told the guy at the body shop and he agrees that it should be fixed under warranty.

While I was there, I talked to my Service Advisor about the butt print issue on the seats, so while it is there, she is going to see if she can get the 05 Seats put in the car to replace the ones that I have. So I guess some good is coming out of this a little. I am still having to spend $500 that I normally would not have had to.

Ford 500?!! LOL. Its funny that you said it feels like a boat, though I'm not suprised. hehe. hows the interior on that thing? everything plastic and cheap looking/feeling?

but of course. I am pretty sure it is the base model, so cloth interior, bland dash design, and when you floor it, there is major hesitation before that thing starts to go. But my other choices were a Taurus (wich I hate) or a Chevy Malibu.

Wow that sux. I have 2 door dings, and just got a dent/crease on a rear fender lip. Looks like I'll be spending $400 with the dent repair guys.

Well considering what you had to choose from, I think I would have gone with the 500 too!! .

I had a friend ay my other job who took her BMW in for service and they gave her a Pontiac Sunfire!!

did you file the claim under collision?? i thought if your car was damaged while parked, it was covered under comprehensive... just curious, cuz my deductible for comprehensive is only $50.

I filed under comprehensive. I have $250 for everything else. I may just go ahead and change the policy and pay a little more on my premium. The good thing is though that Ican afford the $500 so I am not streesing about that. I am just pissed that this happened to the car and that the people involved can't own up to what they did.

My friends were kinda glad that we don't know who it is, cause if they did, then they wanted to fight the bastards. I on the other hand would have just called the cops if they were still there and had them arrested. I am pretty sure that if they were drunk they would have been leaving in a squad car if I called the cops.

Yea I guess it is not bad considering what I had to choose from. When I had my '01 CL-S and had to take it to the body shop they gave me a Gran Prix Widetrack. I have had a sunfire before and it sucked bad. So all things considering this isn't bad and at least I have something to drive around in until I get my baby back.

Well found out today that the car is done with the body shop. Looks like the total cost for just over $1200, so not too bad.
