My noob thread, I gotz body questions! :D

Well let me say this will be my one and only noobie question type thread. I have tried searching, but the 60 second wait time is killer when you have so many things to search.

Basically I just have a few questions pertaining to body pieces between the years. So I am just going to break it down and start... BTW, I have a '04 6spd.

Also I will refer to '04-'06 as gen 3.0, and '07-'08 as gen 3.5. Alright then, onto the questions.

- Do the 3.5 gen headlights and taillights fit in gen 3.0s? Base and Type-S?
- Do the 3.5 gen Type-S Decklid spoilers fit on gen 3.0s?
- Do the 3.5 gen painted splash guards fit on a gen 3.0? If so, what about with the a-spec kit on?
- Do the 3.5 gen sideview mirrors (with the light in it) fit on 3.0 gens?

Really that's about it. I don't need pictures, although it would be nice, I just need answers!

Thanks guys,
Chad

Well, I see on HAW that there is a Type-S taillight conversion package, so I assume that at LEAST means the tails can change over...

- Do the 3.5 gen headlights and taillights fit in gen 3.0s? Base and Type-S? I DONT BELIEVE SO on headlights...but not positive on this one. Tails...a definate YES...been done 1000 times on here.
- Do the 3.5 gen Type-S Decklid spoilers fit on gen 3.0s? YES
- Do the 3.5 gen painted splash guards fit on a gen 3.0? If so, what about with the a-spec kit on? (I would think so....but you dont want these on there with the A-Spec kit on.....trust me. Its not designed to have the splash guards on there with A-Spec...but as stated....it can be done)
- Do the 3.5 gen sideview mirrors (with the light in it) fit on 3.0 gens? Yes....but you will have to do the wiring

Really that's about it. I don't need pictures, although it would be nice, I just need answers!

it can all be done ... the 06 can swap headlights with 07 and 08, but i think before that they have different mounting points or something

^ Yeah, I agree. I tried to dry fit my removed mudgaurds after installing the A-Spec--no go.

The side skirts are alot thicker than stock.

Benz- Don't the Type-S headlights have DRLS and then the lower foglights? Whereas mine has the projector, and then "fogs" in the headlight housing? Correct me if I am wrong, new to the TLs.

Nurse- I figured as much, that's why I asked!

Thats right....forgot about that! Thats exactly what the difference is! I hate DRLS....so I am glad I dont have em! Nothing like drag racing or autocrossing all the while pushing unneeded power to my headlights...lol.

If you throw enough money at your car anything can be done. So how much are you willing to spend.

^ I understand that rule. I am talking about what is "stock / oem" cross-compatible. I woulda figured the headlights were the same, and I guess they are, just different mount points...

The Type S headlights have a black head light housing, and they are angled a bit differently at least that what I can tell, to me I can distinguish type S headlamps from a base TL.
