I had a 04 G35 6mt, and now have ordered a 05 G35 6mt. I went and got a Titan after my G35, what a mistake! So anways, the new one I drove the shifter was much much better and easier to shift. They definitely did something different.

Hey, it could be that the owner before me put them on the car. I bought it w/ 7K miles.

Very possible. Some G35 auto owners have bought it on ebay and got a pretty good deal. From the dealer though, it is a complete rip-off. A Stoptech aftermarket kit is much better than the stock brembos and cheaper too.

from what i've heared the stock brakes are horrible, with the brembos and stoptechs much better, and the stoptechs only slightly better than the 6 speed stock brembos from what tests have been done at my350z.com

Depends on what you are talking about. In terms of stopping performance, there is almost no difference between stock brakes and the brembos. They are within 5 feet from 70-0. In terms of the brake dust on the stock brakes, they are pretty bad and the brakes tend to only last about 20-25k before needing a replacement. The stoptechs aren't much better than either brembos or the stock brakes in terms of stopping distance BUT it resists fade better than the brembos and much much better than the stock brakes. The brembos overall are better than the stocks because of brake feel and fade.

exactly. For my mom, she would hate the stock brakes since they would need to be replaced so often. For someone that is performance oriented, they are great. There are plenty of people out there with the stock brakes doing trac kevents. They are ok for beginners, but once you step up in speed, you need to at least have the stock brembos. When you are much more advanced, the brembos may be starting to show their OEM qualities and something a little more agressive might be needed (though not many people will go beyond the performance of the brembos).

WTF is up with the scrambled pics of the G35C with Acura HID projectors on page 3 of this thread? I want to see what all the rage is about. I saw the pics in this thread, but many people didn't like the look of the projectors on that particular G. If anyone has another link to the pics of the G35C that looks good with the Acura projectors, please post. Thanks.

levon - try posting on the G35 forum...someone over there is more likely to have the pics than someone here.

Wow, I'm still not sure why bringing back an old thread is such a big deal with some people. Thanks anyway.

Chill, man...I was only trying to help in the other thread and here...I can't help if you don't find my suggestion reasonable and/or logical.

I found your suggestion to be very useful and very logical. However, as I browse this forum, I always see members complaining about others bumping old threads and I never understood why, so I was just posing the question. My "Thanks anyway" in the previous post was not sarcasm--I really was saying thanks for the suggestion. No harm done, and I'm very chill.

Ah, gotcha...don't you just love how things can be misinterpreted by being written versus being spoken? As to why people complain about old threads being bumped, I don't know...I guess it depends on the reason for the bump...what they see as logical/illogical. Even if it's logical, someone usually still comments...that's just PW-ing...either way, it's all good...just the nature of the forum...
