My 2007 CBP TLS!!! (issues and questions)

What's up everyone. Fairly new on the board, forgive me i will ask tons of noob questions. I'm pretty much a virgin when it comes to car issues especially a luxry car.

Okay! so here are some questions, thanks in advance!
This might not be a horrible issue, but is this part replaceable? it's the little rubber seal that runs across the under hood right by the windshield. No clue how this happened..but as you can see there is a bit cut in it.

This has been a issue with few of you i've read so far...but has anyone found a fix for it? I hit a fin' curb when i was pulling up close to the sidewalk so my buddy could get in. BLAH

And last but not least, this one is prolly really dumb. But you gys see the i's on the map? the manual says they are exit info...how the hell do you look it? you can't do it with the lil + that appears with the joy stick i tried that already.

Yes you can fix your wheels. You might want to contact a local Acura dealer to see if they have someone that comes out to the dealer to fix their used car wheels. That might be your best bet.

The rubber seal is replaceable. Let me check the part number. Maybe part #11 below:

Here's a pretty great video DIY on fixing curb rash on wheels. The only problem I can see with this though is that it might be difficult to find a paint that matches the dark gray finish on your TL-S wheels.

Yeah, they're Australian so they're sometimes hard to understand.

I believe the two question marks you had were polyester body filler (that creamy stuff in a can they called "bog" in the video, which is commonly referred to as "bondo" here). This stuff is widely available, just go to any auto parts store like Napa and ask for bondo or plastic body filler.

The second thing is filler primer, which is also widely available. Just look in the section of your local auto parts store with all rattle can spray paints and you should be able to find some.

I curbed two wheels and had a mobile wheel repair guy come out. He spend about an hour and I can't tell they were ever curbed. Perfect repair.

i's might be points of interest, or some sort of information...
about the rust, that's a rusty hub...you can remove the wheel, sand that thing down and spray with high temp paint, or you can spring for some brakemotive or xlr8 zinc coated brake rotor packages!

My method is a QUICK fix for the wheels...but I used my dremel with a grinding wheel on it and grind down the ridges of the curb...clean it all really well and then use duplicolor wheel paint sprayed into a can bottom and apply it with an artists paintbrush. Good enough to not have your eye go straight to it. All 4 of my wheels were curbed almost all the way around...

Welcome to the forum. If I didn't already have my 04...Carbon Bronze type S would be the 3G car of my dreams!

Thanks! yours and "LOVEMYTLS" replies helped the most...i'll have to get my friend to help me with this but it looks like it's doable. I will follow up with pics if i end up doing it. Crazy busy this month so might take a while.

Looks awesome man....i am thinking about using some crazy sandpaper on it right now. But i'll consider some drill attachments if i have a real hard time with the sandpaper.

I used a Dremel with sanding drums to get rid of mine, and then I painted it.

Jacksonville ain't Florida! It's an extension of Alabama!

Good luck, man...easy fixes, I'm sure...
about the damaged seal from the engine bay...google acurazine and ultimate cooling mod...you might not even want the cowl on there after you read that.

Whenever I see those icons, they are always long major interstate highways, and they always list a place of business when I click on them.

I would start with a sanding block, not a dremel, to fix the rash. That way you know you're getting a flat line and not making it too wavy...

You are talkin about the rims right? I talked to few of my friends and they all said they might know some dude who the dealships use to fix wheels...so i'm looking into that right now. If it's 75-100 for both wheels i might do it.

If it's $100 or less for both wheels then yes, let someone else do it.
