Moonroof Rattle? Read This!
I have the same problem - the wind deflecter rattling on my moonroof - that has been reported several times here.
After a visit to my dealer, I was told the moonroof was "working properly." Big help!
I emailed Acura Client Services to inform them of the problem and to see if they were contemplating a factory bulletin. I thought at least they would thank me for making them aware of a problem.
Their reply...
"While we recognize there may be complaints posted on the Internet with the same concern, Acura's response to such problems is based on information gathered directly from our customer's . We have no indication that this is a prevailing problem on the 2004 Acura TL."
So, why not let them know if you have similar problem? The email address is:

I don't have this specific problem (yet), but thanks for the email address - it's good to have this sort of contact info for when the Service Department invariably blows off future issues that may come up.

Re: Reply...
IMO, whatever mails I sent to ACS or dealers, I won't talk about anything related to Internet or other ppl's cars. The letter will just plainly address what problems/issues my car has...
They usually provide me the answers or some better replies, such as Acura engineers are working on...
But, I do agree Acura should pay more attention to those minority reports.

The same issue effected the last TL and the CL. You'd think it would be cheaper to come up with a fix than pay the dealers warranty work time screwing around with adjustments. Has anybody's dealer tried to apply the fix used in the TSB for the last TL and CL?

It is real easy just to put a couple of small foam pads under the deflector so it no longer has anything to rattle against.
Save all the time going to the dealer and hassling it, just fix it yourself.

I guess you're right, but why isn't Acura intererested in applying this "easy fix" to new units?

Perhaps, they think they could make the "flawless" fix? I put felts under the deflector, sometimes I could see it in some angles. :o

Does anyone have pictures demonstrating this fix? I can hear a very faint rattle/rustle coming from the headliner in the area of the leading edge of the moonroof. That's with the moonroof and the moonroof cover closed.

Gallery is down. I have no pics, either.
Someone has the thick/wide felt or felt-like materials put underneath the deflector and above the metal frame of car's roof.
I have thick/narrow felt right under the deflector. (Felts are adherent to the deflector)
