Mods?!?! what kinda of mods can u put on the new Tl

If your goal is to make a car loud, go buy a civic and put a fartcan exhaust on there and neons. It'll be cheaper and it'll be nice not to see a riced out TL on the road so you'll be doing a lot of people a favor.

We who have been where you are and survived- learned a lesson. Persons of that age, of every generation including ours, have a transient need to separate themselves from "older" folks by any means necessary. If we can shock them in the process- all the better. :thefinger
That's probably why most of us here over 30 think your ideas to mod the TL are tantamount to putting a Speedo on the statue of David by Michelangelo.

You just can't hear it from inside the car because all the sound dampening works so well. I'm real hesitant to change it now unless I see some independent dyno's showing a new system adds a lot of power, looks stock - especially the tips, and has an OEM-quality sound.

List of parts coming out from Comptech in '05 for the TL:
1) supercharger
2) cat back exhaust
3) Icebox air intake
4) Fuel management
There is NOTHING out there worthwhile now ... no headers, and an Injen intake that doesn't seem too worthwhile performance-wise. this is coming from a guy (me) that had icebox, headers, pullies, exhaust kit (all comptech and Unorthodox) on my Type S ..
so trust me, just adding an intake is useless for noticeable performance.
There is a handful of suspension mods as already mentioned (whoopie)
1) supercharger
2) cat back exhaust
3) Icebox air intake
4) Fuel management

The engine is a J32(A?)... I would imagine since the configuration is much like the 6gen/7gen V6 accords that it could use the same headers. Problem is length and bend of the collector pipe. hmm...this would be interesting. Same thing with all the go-fast parts like supercharger etc etc...

If in your late 30's or older and your putting neon under your car I agree you are having a serious midlife crisis. If your 17-24 and fortunate enough to have a new TL...I think blue neon on (under?) an Anthrcite or even Red Neon on a Rodondo Red would look very cool.
I fall into the late 30's category so I wouldn't drive it with neon, but I still like the look.

i dont know what the above poster was talking about...the intake makes a significant difference. i would have to use your same discription... it made the difference between pulling and not pulling. not to mention opening up the ingen with a wonderful low roar when floored.
