fogs.

Yeah, I changed out the bulbs and replaced them with Sylvania Silverstar's - whiter actually - so the look more like the HID's when they're on. A standard 9006 fits.

I started to change the headlights last weekend. I bought the tamper proof torx bit and cannot get to the screw head from the fender or the hood. I really don't feel like taking the bumper off. I did ,however, put hid in my fogs; not yellow bulbs. I figured most people wouldn't. it doesn't look like i am running high beams, the reflector puts all the light directly in front and to the sides. I like it.

Edit: all the words i spelled wrong

no, I removed the battery, there is a nice ledge there in front of where the battery sits, plenty of room. now i need some one to do the fog light hack so i can run them with the park lights.

edit: i just realized you weren't talking to me....so never mind. :o

I decided to go yellow. I bought pretty expensive Polarg bright yellow bulbs, put in one side and turned them on. Oddly enough, they looked almost exactly the same as the stock fogs. I'm not sure if the HIDs make the yellow bulbs look less yellow or if the stock fogs are actually pretty yellow themselves and its hard to tell. My next project is to rewire my fogs so that they can turn on independent of the HIDs

Is it pretty costly to stick HID's in? You can't just buy an HID bulb, right? Don't you have to install all new hardware to convert to real HID?

There is realtively extensive wiring and an expensive ballast that you must purchase in order to use a true HID bulb

It was a plug and play kit for 9006 bulbs. it cost me 300 for the balast and bulbs.
