Mine has Bridgestones RE030s

This forum is full of complaints about the EL42s. I picked up my car about 2 weeks ago (before becoming familiar with this forum). After reading of all the EL42 complaints I checked out my tires. Am I reading them incorrectly? I don't see EL42 anywhere. Mine read RE030 ( they are also the summer high performance tires which come with the Dynamic Package in Canada - 6MT, stiffer suspension, Brembo brakes).

1) Am I reading my tires incorrectly?
2) Are these tires only being installed on Canadian market TLs?
3) Is this what they have started replacing the EL42s with?

You have the same tires as the HPT, or high-performance tire, option which is offered in the States on 6MT TLs for an additional 200 USD. Now the real question is, what are you doing with HPTs in Calgary?!?!?

I don't think Canada allows the 6MT with the Navi....only non-navi.

I live in Calgary and have EL42s

Just got the TL 6 days ago and only 500 KMs. The only noticable thing I do not like is the driver's side seat belt retraction. It may be the seat position but the metal clip gets stuck between the seat and the side panel pillar. Its caused a minor scratch but still annoying after only 6 days. I'm going to play with seat position to see if that helps some.

My side panel pillar has scratches all over it as my seat belt does the same thing......I tried, at first, to be easy with it but it's just inevitable that things are going to happen to the car. Thank god the seat hides them quite well though.

The TL that caught my eye at the Calgary Autoshow was a Redondo Red. For some freakin strange reason..........RR and Anthracite, in Canada, are only offered with the 'Dynamic' (high performance) package............which includes the 6MT and the RE0303s. At age 50 I was ready to consider finally switching to the automatic but.........I wanted the RR and everyone said .........go 6 speed. I test drove both and loved the 6MT.

Interesting. My RR/Ebony 6MT was born today, hope to be driving it by Monday! Unfortunately it comes with the Turanzas.
