I have spent at least two months trying to purchase my tl navi but never had the luck of it being on the lot to make a deal. Seems like my luck has changed. In the last four hours two dealers have called me saying that they have my tl in the combo that I am looking for. Go figure. As of two days ago, one dealer didn't have any navis on the lot and now all of the sudden the one I want is on the lot. Furthermore, I had placed a deposit on with the second dealer for a navi that was suppose to come in the middle of May and all of the sudden they also have it on the lot. Wow! I'm figuring that both cars were on reserve and the deals have fallen through. Oh, and it does help that it is the last day of the month. The question now is: How would you use this to get the best price? Any advice? Thanks.

 

Go to both dealers NOW NOW NOW! and figure out what the lowest price you can get is since it's sitting on their lots. Bear in mind that the salespeople are probably calling down their list so I bet there are other people driving to go see those cars in person and to negotiate price. Have a set price you want to pay in mind, with the accessories that you want, etc -- that will help you decide whether you're going to walk out the door or stay and play a little longer.

 

Work it! See which one will give you a fair out-the-door price and include lots of extras (wheel locks, all season floor mats, truck tray, free car washes or oil changes for life, mud guards, etc.). Make them compete for your money. Remember that it's your money and that you owe them nothing.
