You know when the car is off and you put it in gear. how it makes that "CHINK" noise? I love that! Do you guys know what that is from? Is it a special part put there to make the noise or is it there for a performance reason?

 

Uh...that noise is just from the gears changing. There is no part there to "make that noise".

 

Its probably just the mechanical linkage.

I agree its a cool noise. But I think the engine roar when Vtec kicks in is even better.

I still gotta stick with the final "exhale" from the exhaust when you come to a stop in the 6MT as the best sound the TL makes. Happens when your between 2-10 mph or so and coming to a stop...... Pure Heaven

Not sure of the AT does it or not

 

i agree!! and if you have a custom exhaust (magnaflow) or a comptech, it just makes it all the sweeter

I have a 07 Acura TL-S 6 speed manual transmission.
Does anybody have a problem with shifting in to the third gear?
Any problems at all with shifting, anybody???
I drive cars with manual transmission for over 15 years, never had this problem before.
