Make OEM Fogs Yellow on Gen3 TL?

Looking for up to date info on changing the OEM (9006 bulbs) fog lights (lights to the inside of the head lights) to yellow bulbs or HID Yellow. Please post pics, bulb found that works best, who you purchased them from and for how much,Kelvin found works best, any other words of wisdom. Also may info on making the fogs come on with out the heads lights would be nice if you have good info on how to.
I searched high and low was able to find some info I posted below but allot of it is out dated and I'm sure they make better bulbs now then some of the info that goes back to 2003 and most of the pics are not posted any more also.

If I go Yellow HID Fog I may want to make the fogs come on with out head light option. LOL I use to have Piaa Ion 910's
http://www.piaalights.com/details.ph...%20HANG%20DOWN
on my Gen3 Integra I use to have that I loved ....but way to bright to drive around town with. They would cause dear in the head light looks case it would blind anyone in font of me and mesmerize you to the point you would lock up or drive to me. Would also get high beam flashed if I tried to use them with anyone around me. It was fun for a while then I ....grew up I guess and came to think I best get some lights I can use more often with out pissing every one off next time.

The more I think about it I may go with HID yellow. And let the fogs work the way them come from Acura (with head lights) How about which model and from who should I consider?

Thank you for the info dwb993. Hope I can get some more info from you or others.

Which kit do you have? I see they offer several on this website.
http://www.ddmtuning.com/index.php?p...parent=85&pg=1

Why did you pick the kit you have over others?

Did you just plug the kit you have in to the OEM wiring or run relays?

If you ran relays do you have copy how you did it?

What
Kelvin do you have also?

Do you have any pics from the drivers seat with the HID fogs?

I have the Slim Ballast kit for the fogs. I also purchased the Raptor kit for my reverse lights, but have not installed yet.

Why did you pick the kit you have over others?
Price, selection, warranty, mostly. I tried to communicate with HIDExtra, but got no response. The slim ballasts fit nicely in the area just below the headlights, but the Raptors should fit well, too.

Did you just plug the kit you have in to the OEM wiring or run relays?
Purchase a harness for the HID kit. I used a combination of the Accord relay harness and the HID harness.

If you ran relays do you have copy how you did it?
https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-problems-fixes-114/accord-fogs-wiring-help-746956/

What Kelvin do you have also?
5000K

Do you have any pics from the drivers seat with the HID fogs?
No, I don't. Sorry. I can tell you that alignment is difficult with the Accord fogs. I still have to get mine right.

Mem04TL: i'm sure they will do great as drl, i'm think about doing this mod
I run my OEMs as DRLs using the Designtech kit from autobarn.com. They work great, but make sure you buy some quality wiretaps---the ones they include are crap.

Yes, those are the Nokya Yellows for the OEM fogs. Look for them on ebay for $15. The Hoens are basically the same thing.

i tried a few different brands. nokyas are bright, really yellow and fit the best out of all that i tried. yellow enhances driving visibility...it's not just for ricers.

^^Agreed. I prefer the yellow to the OEMs.
I also tried SilverStar Ultra and Nokya Arctic White. The Arctic Whites were a nice match to my headlights (the best I tried), but the yellows seem to throw out more usable light.

I went with yellow halogens that matched the output of the stock fog light bulbs only because I feel that if you use hids for the fogs, it will look like mush next to the hids from the regular headlight bulb. In other words the yellow will not be as noticible. I purchased Yellow halogens by luminetics which have not failed me yet. They ran me about $30 at a local speed shop.

Nokya yellows. Be forewarned they may burn out prematurely but they look nice, they're cheap and you can see a LOT better with them. It is my winter mode. I switch to LED bulbs the rest of the year.

I didn't do HIDs ONLY because I have a DRL kit on my car and also I already have 2 HID kits on my car, 3 would be crazy. Pretty soon I might change my mind though. They are so cheap nowadays. Nothing beats HID. By the way you are sure to get flamed by some members who don't believe in HIDs for fogs. I'm a fan. Not all my mods are that logical anyways, lol.

Is it worth buying those nokya's. I bought the 10 dollar ones from ebay. 3 weeks later one of them burns out. Dont know the brand though. Yellow looked nice though. So should i get them or not?

Any colored bulb has higher chances or burning out quicker. Why? Because the coating absorbs the light and makes the bulb run hotter. Hotter bulb means shorter life. I had Nokyas on my car that burned out in 2 months. The ones on my car now have lasted 2 yrs though. It's luck of the draw.

I say hid because thats what i have.
my car is a 05 nbp tl w navi
i have accord fogs with 8k, 8k on low beam and 3k in stock fog
heres a old picture

i now have switchback and clear side. i personally dont recommend having the yellow on while driving as it catches alot of attention (could be good or bad =\). i useually drive with the accord fog and low beam on but when it rain i turn off the accord fog and have the 3k stock fog on since those are best in raining situation! make the whole road in front of you yellow!

I dont think it will look as good being that both the fog and the headlight are located in the same housing, as opposed to having the fogs on the bumper. As you already know, hid bulbs are very bright, running two of them in the same housing will make it look like ur running one very bright bulb. This is why I say that the yellow wont be as noticable as it would if u where running halogens. This is just my opinion/ prefference. If you where running bumper fogs I would say hids would probably look good.

Grrr! I'm missing some thing on how to remove the fog light bulbs if some one can help. I only tried the passanger so far. I followed this from the owners manual
http://techinfo.honda.com/rjanisis/p...505O00223A.pdf

And the last link I posted. I can get the darn bulb to turn. I tried so hard any harder I think I would crack some thing.
