i have a small hole in the passenger side seat cushion on my 07 Type S. have searched around where to find one, to no avail, anyone have any suggestions ?
tried the Acura dealer, but a little pricey for just the cushion cover.

2nd, once my seats go, i'm getting both seats re-upholstered in a new material.
the stock acura one isnt good.

 

then find a junkyard or look on the Black Market for a whole cushion.

or pay the dealer their exorbitant price. Maybe one of our vendors has it for cheaper but I doubt it will be that much cheaper.

You actually brought up the fact that the seat cover was a little pricey from Acura.

Good luck trying to get help on this site in the future with that type of attitude. Despite Justin's crabby attitude at times, he helps hundreds of members on AcuraZine with answers to their questions. My suggestion, don't take the Interwebz so seriously and enjoy this site.

 

I'm in the same boat - my driver side seat is SHOT and in spit of some of the more advanced methods of leather repair, I've been able to minimize the damage, but not fully recover. End game is this, we can purchase the OE parts for $380 a hit from our best OE provider -OR- source from a known upholsterer whom can give us a full replacement for $390 shipped.

...but I am not going to do that. I won't provide you with the OE source, nor will I provide you with an alternative means to do so. You've stated to an OG that cost is not an option...

...and in so much as talk is cheap, I'm sure you can pay this bill. Safe travels in this endeavor.

 

My TL-S suffered from the same issue. The driver side cushion was torn, and was full of wear marks. I purchased cushions and covers from Acura, and did the repair myself. I pretty much brought that car back from the dead, and I wanted it to look new. Couldn't be happier now.

An upholstery shop I deal with told me if they patched my seats, they wouldn't look good. Their new patch would look WAY newer than the rest of the seat, and I agreed. My seats were pretty terrible though.

 

Damn while I agree that bottom cushion looks great, my fear that it wouldn't match the other more worn seats is confirmed. (I currently have the exact same issue you had, seat is coming apart in places)

Hopefully once it wears a little it will catch up to the seat back.

 

When I was looking for a new seat I kept running across there on Ebay. They are made by a company call Iggee. They look pretty good in their picture so they might be worth taking a look at.
