have scoured the threads and google, but have not come up with anything definate. am looking for some winter wheels for 07 Type S. i was told 2004 -2006 Acura or Accord wheels will fit over the Brembos, but i can not confirm that, and i have not found any anyways yet, kijiji, craigslist, all dead in the water. if someone could confirm, i would appreciate it. i don t need anything fancy for winter running.

2004-2006 TL stock wheels will clear brembos because certain 04-06 TL's came with Brembos.

the specs of both TL-S wheels and 2004-2006 wheels are 17x8 +45, so they are the same.

 

no Accord then. only TLs ? am understanding that correct ?

 

^find out the specs to the accord wheel then compare it to 17x8 +45.

if matches or exceeds 17x8 +45 , you have a winner.


if it's narrower than 17x8 +45, it wont fit.


so, basically no....
Ive never seen an accord with factory brembos.....

 

justnspace and guitarplayer16 are correct, but bear in mind not all of the early rims have the indentation for the the TPMS to seat easily. I believe - NOT POSITIVE - the TPMS was added to the TL in 06. This is not to say that the early 3G TL rims cannot fit the TPMS sensors - I'm just pointing out that they didn't come from the factory with them. I'm pretty sure there are other AZ members who have gotten them to fit or gone aftermarket and attached them to the center of the rim.
I had an 04 TL with a manual transmission, which came with the Brembos and obviously the OEM rims cleared them.

 

You're correct that TPMS was available on 2006 TLs and up.

However, you won't have a problem fitting TPMS on 2004 and 2005 TL wheels.

 

not concerned about tps system. can t find any wheels anyway, everyone i talk to wants to sell new ones. have no interest in that.

 

I remember seeing about at least 5 ads for 2004-2006 wheels on kijiji the other day.

 

I don't know where you are in Ontario but found these:

17" OEM Acura Steel Rims - set of 4 from 2004 $300

Acura TL 17x8 OEM 5X114.3 rims with TPMS - one pair (2) - This is only a pair but are 2006. $250
