It's an automatic w/navi and has 138k miles on it. The transmission was just replaced and the timing belt and water pump were changed at 100k. Other than that the carfax is clean. The car itself also looks good, cosmetically. Is $7,500 a fair price to pay?

 

What did your test drive tell you? On paper it looks good, but only you can decide if it's worth what they're asking. I think it's a fair price if it's in good shape mechanically. Always go lower if you can, though.

 

Thanks for the response. The car drives great on the side streets and highway. The car also has brand new tires and brakes. Everything seems to look good in and out. Looks like I should have it by the weekend, just gotta have it checked out by my mechanic first for a more thorough inspection.

I had roughly the same miles on my 04 and paid 7K w/navi, maybe aim for that? Have the motor mounts checked, and steering components (ball joints, inner outer tie rods).

 

I have a 04 Tl Navi 210k. To add on to what Due_Diligence wrote you should check the tranny for issues.
