Lithium Ion car batteries?

Has anyone made a car battery from Li yet? Seems it would be light, high powered, and last forever. Just curious.

Not sure, but Li Ion are a poor solution for a car battery.

They do not provide much peak current capability , material cost, and some other factors religate them for the excellent applications for small portable electronic devices that need recharging. Despite some disadvantages (low current capacity for it's weight) for lead acid they are still the best optimum solution for road vehicle applications
