License Plate's light

Does anyone know what size bulbs the license plate's light are? I'm trying to replace the bulbs so that it'll look bright like the lex is350

Theres like 20 threads on this, just need to search.

The closest you can get to IS350 lights are cold cathodes, search and you'll find a detailed DIY.

I'm getting sick of Fucking License Plate Lights!! :agrhh: 10,000 hour LED's my ass!!

Everytime I put in a set, a week of so later they flicker. Swap the flickering one out and the old one starts flickering almost immediatly - and 1/4 to 1/3 of the LED's are out.

It looks like ass.

I might just go back to boring, piss yellow, OEM incandescent. At least they Fucking work.

cheap LED's.

I've had my License Plate LED's in for a few months and had no problems; and they look a lot like the lights on the IS350. Here what I put in:

- License plate lights:
www.superlumination.com - SuperNova
http://superlumination.com/194.htm

BTW, I got this information from the following thread: https://acurazine.com/forums/car-parts-sale-361/sale-comptech-springs-so-cal-area-173833/

^^

Thanks man. I've read that LED Thread and am aware of Kennedy's parts list. I've been waiting to order a "set" of new lights, but maybe I'll just go ahead and get the License Plate lights now.

I think, I'll put an order together tonight (maybe a "partial set").

But if these start flickering, I am done with LED plate lights.

I don't think mine are the supernovas...they're the Towers from Superlumination (the actual "tower" portion isn't shown in the picture). Maybe I'm wrong though.

if you got the tower, that's what I'm using, and I love them!!

the license plate led bulbs from V-LEDs are not bad either!

Go for cold cathodes...they look amazing, same thing as the new Lexus lights if not better

Hmmm...well, the link (http://superlumination.com/194.htm) I put up there works and takes you to the one I have. Hopefully, I'll continue to have a good experience with these. So far, no flickering, no burn-outs, just BRIGHT light!

I ordered the Tower I's. The others will likely be too long to fit inside the license plate light lens (the Tower I's are a tight fit as it is).

If I had any idea how to take a good picture at night of the lights I'd post one to show you how they look. However, I'd say they are almost indistinguishable from the lights I see on IS250/350's all the time.
