LED lights

Hello fellow acura owners! i bought some led lights to replace my factory license plates ones. The problem is that they one of them only lasted a week. I order mines from ijdmtoy.com. Is there another website that sells longlasting ones? Or how long are led lights suppose to last. It was for an 06 acura tL. I also replaced the interior lights with leds and one always blows out within 6 months or less. Help plzzzzz!!!!!!!

did you check to see if the bulb loosened out of the socket or if the points on the bulb itself are making good contact within the socket. sometimes they move out of place making you think the bulb blew out.

I've had the interior and license plate leds from ijdmtoy for about a month with no issues. Check the fitment as previous poster suggested.

I would check the fitment as well- the lights blink then go out typically. Sounds like the bulb was barely inserted and the normal closing of the trunk may have caused a bad connection.

I have bought lights from jdmtoy of recent and also superbrightleds and have no issues from either vendor.

Check out cold cathodes

Or if you want to stick with LEDs, get the 6 SMT angled flank bulb from VLEDs.
Those were pretty bright!

when you buy these kits, how do you remove the cap of the light? I do not see a screw.

Grab a small flat head screw driver and lightly pry it open. There are plastic tabs that keep it held in place.
