LED hyperblink fix

Just seeing if this fix has changed since 2011? I know you can do the resistor swap

Hyperflashing happens because LEDs draw less power than a halogen bulb, putting less load on the line and making the car think the bulb is out. Adding more load to the line is the only way to send the correct signal to the car so that it does not think anything is wrong and the simplest way to do this is by adding resistors to the line.

I'm not sure if anyone makes these for the 3G TL but there's plug and play harnesses that fix hyperflashing for some cars. At the end of the day though, they're still just a resistor in a case.

Thanks for the reply. I'll follow the resistor route from this thread, soldering isn't a big deal really

FYI, I just stumbled upon LED turn signal bulbs that have the resistor built into the bulbs so that it draws the correct amount of power.

Here’s an example from Amazon:

OXILAM 7440 LED Bulbs Amber Yellow 4000LM for Turn Signal Lights with Build-in Load Resistor CANBUS Error Free T20 7440NA 7441 W21W WY21W Blinker Bulb Replacement (2PCS) https://a.co/d/fJpeMcL

I actually came across those originally but they don't have red unfortunately. At least I can use those for the front though

Thanks for the link.

Resistor mod is easy and definitely recommended. Unnecessary to add resistors in parallel to the bulbs. It's the best option truly.

If your rear lens is red, the amber bulb will be fine.

I'm likely going this route as it does seem very simple and easy.

It wouldn't be a mix of red/orange? I'm sticking to the resistor mod anyway since I already have the bulbs in hand
