Leak?

Hey All,

So I recently did the front valve cover gasket on my 07 TL and after I was done I sprayed some engine degreaser to grt all the old oil off the manifold. That seemed to work as I no longer smell that burning smell.

But I noticed a leak coming from the frame? I wonder if the oil and degreaser that I didnt get when i sprayed it off is just coming out?

It is a solid leak. I checked my oil amd transmission and they dont seem to be low.

Anyone have any ideas?

I posted 2 pictures. It seems to be a redish color and just smells like grease.

Thanks all

Frame doesn't have oil in it to leak from, you'll need to determine where the leak is coming from if it's still an active one

Alternative news: It's just Acura's new active anti-corrosion system.

Yea I am aware that the frame doesn't have fluid in it. It just seems to be thst is where the leak is ending, right at that bolt.

Red = usually ATF.
Drivers-side is where the transmission sits.

Clean the entire area THOROUGHLY with more brakleen so there's no more mystery oil/leaks. Start the engine then start snooping around. I bet you'll find something suspicious eventually.

*edit* holy shiit. Yep, that's a leak alright.

After following the leak it appears to be coming from 2 pipe (hoses) I found a part # 25210-RDA-000. The lines seem to be corroded. Also now my transmission fluid is bone dry after it leaked.

Thanks all

Happened to me on my 07 ASM with 238K last month two days after I sold it.
New radiator, a couple pieces of fuel-line hose/clamps and a LOT of cleaning, plus 3 qts of ATF.

Hey Pair of TLs,

It appears to be coming from the circled part on the phtotos.

Is this what happened to you?

Thanks

The green circle

You can see in the red circle that it is corroded.

When I search on 25210-RDA-000, some places have it in stock, some don't and others say its discontinued.

Yuppers, except mine looked worse. There was a mound of corrosion on the lines that run under the radiator to the trans. I couldn't get those lines anywhere, hence a couple of pieces of hose. Major clean up, too. Fun times. Not at all difficult, just messy.

Good luck with yours.

isn’t that connected to the radiator? You’ll need to replace the entire radiator.

Pair of TLs

My lines running under the radiator aren't to bad so I will try and either keep them or find them.

If I replace the radiator should be good right?

Thanks

Hey Pair of TLs,

If my lines under my radiator are leaking. Did you just use regular hoses? Or what did you use?

Thanks

Hose or spring clamps should be more than sufficient, as seen in the pictures.
