well got mine rust proofed at the dealer ....extended the perforation warranty and surface rust to 10 years........its a good idea if your gonna keep it that long......which I intend to (unless I strike it rich)

 

All cars have adequate rustproofing. Back in the 70s and 80s cheap metal and limited rustproofing almost guarranted a rust bucket

the TL has warranty for rust already. it has a 5 year unlimited miles rust warranty. i never had a problem with rust really. even living here in the north east where the climate varies alot.
