OMG, LOL!!!! How DID you find this old thread?

My fave:

All my problems:

Door pin on driver's side had to be replaced.

ECU/Trac upgrade worked fine.
Lexus called me in for under panel replacement, so that didn't have a chance to fail.
Gonna get new tires from Lexus!
The next post was..."Toyota quality, huh?"

Bubbling tires and weak paint, same as us. Goes to show you, all cars have their issues. I'm still a fan of the IS300, though, as it's quite a sharp-looking car.

1) Rusting exhaust tip
2) Rusting hubs
3) Discolored calipers
4) Faulty door hinge pin
5) ECU and TRAC fix
6) Air conditioning is not that cold and doesn't blow very hard
7) Very hard shifts from 2nd into 3rd - feels like the tranny is having problems
8) Over-sensitive traction control
9) Driver's and passenger's side front doors open REALLY hard - like they're stuck

I found these particularly reminiscent of TL-esque symptoms...

You have the rusting hubs too!! Only my fronts are bad. I posted pics awhile back. I have not pulled a tire to get a better look. Gonna make dealer replace 'em when I go in for tranny recall, cause the back hubs are perfect, just the two fronts.

Good catch.

There is no car manufactured without any problem. So does not matter if is300 have any problems or not. I'm sure LExus will stand behind and fix it just like Acura will for TL.

BTW, I hope 1sicklex is watching this thread too.

LMAO!
Peter, c'mon dude, that threads date is Thu Jul 12, 2001. Almost 3 years ago to the date.
Hey every car can have problems. Lexus has problems. It does not score 0 problems on JD Power. It just scores the lowest every year. For the past 10 years.
