Inlay in grill

Has anyone ever painted this area black or color matched it?

Be the first. Straight lines, easy to mask.

Several members have done, it, but they've painted the whole grill. I'm interested in how this would look!

It would be an accent to the grill, if thats the only part you paint, I would get it to match the Dark grey that is on the grill, so that you have some continuity.

what do you apply to that so the paint can stay there? I tried but the glossy paint just comes off, anyone has any clue on what to apply so the paint will stay?

Ok here you go.

Let me know what you guys think. I used 1/4 inch pinstriping and it fit perfectly. I think it may look better color matched. So I am gonna look for gunmetal, because I doubt they sell anthracite.

I think the painted grill only looks good on black TLs. Someone please prove me wrong.

I think it would look nice if the trim pieces on the front of the hood and the grill part that touches the bumper was filled in/shaved. The hood would look like 1 piece instead of a piece with trim stuck on its nose. Then have it sprayed to match. What can I say I like clean lines.

A little too subtle for me. Had to look twice to see where you painted.
