iJDMtoy Led DRL Harness Install w/Pics

See how the bulb has 2 slots and the connector has 1 slot. The ijdm connector has 1 slot and bulb 2 slots.
The connector you need will have 2 slots. They can be found pretty easy but its still a pain in the ass. Or you can file of the tabs on the bulb connector to get it to work for now and have them ship you new bulbs or buy new bulbs.
I am not defending jdmtoy by any means and you should make them foot the bill. Just stating my experience.
Either way to get them to fit snug and click into place you will need the right connector on wire side as the new bulbs are going to have the 2 slots. You WILL have to find a connector for the 9005 bulb (or 9006 can't remember which. I believe its 9006 higher number for low beam)
But you get the point.
As far as your fogs. Thats another issue.

They are the 120 smd type 2 switchbacks from V-leds. 6k I do believe, but can't remember 100%.
I just purchased a new set of 60 smd switchbacks as I was having some flicker issues once they warmed up. They do match my LED DRL and HID's very well though.
I hope the next set match as good as these did. But when they got warm they act like a retarded type 1 switchback which I don't like.
I had the 6k iJDM DRL but I switched to the 5k Ebay ones for a better match.
I was trying to get a matching 5k front. All this was done almost 2 years ago.

I just installed the VLEDs 10 LED DRLs with their own harness which is very similar to the iJDM version, works great and matches my Tritons very well. I'm impressed with their brightness, would highly recommend.

Anyone have any experience with the ijdmtoy switchbacks? From the pictures it looks like the perfect colour I want (6k) and this should match my DRLs and fogs
7443 Switchbacks
hopefully this is my last purchase until coilovers

Ok I'm having an issue I have 9005 Vled bulbs and ijdmtoy R3 harness I have everything connected and there are no DRL lights. But when I have the driver side connected like it should be. But if I have both side connected how they should be as instructions say i get a DRL light and no light output. But when I have one side connected how it should and one side with the led into the socket I have no DRL warning light. Can someone help me?

Ive had these since around march and my l.e.d.'s are slowly dying out. One bulb even flickers from time to time. Ive sent numerous emails fo ijdmtoys and they will not answer phone calls or emails. Im starting to get annoyed with them. Cheap ass china shit.

On another note, I finally heard back from iJDMtoys, now they say im out of the 90 day warranty range! Are you serious! Its been 4 months now, i contacted them long ago. Screw their customer service, they did that on purpose by not responding to your emails so now they want me to buy some $45 dollar bulbs for replacements. DO NOT BUY THESE LIGHTS! CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A RIP OFF! iJDMtoys FAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's bullshit man sorry to hear. I had that happen with my hockey insurance for a chipped tooth. Completely unrelated to car parts, but they didn't respond until I was over the amount of days for being valid for coverage.

I'm dealing with some issues myself from them. So far they have sent me two defective harnesses. The first harness they told me to just put back in the original packaging and write refuse to sender on to avoid paying shipping fees. The second package they told me they would get me a shipping label so that I could send it back and get it replaced. This was over a week ago and I still haven't received the package.

The recommended ground location sucks esp. since its over paint and not bare metal - this maybe the cause of some flickering issues.
I ordered interior LEDS and 3 of the LEDS flickered and didnt work all of the time. I sent back the defective part and didnt hear anything from them, but i did recieve a new LED board within 10 days that worked perfectly.

File a claim through paypal. Open a dispute, and escalate it to a claim. PayPal has a certain % of claims to transactions that its users have to stay under. This will get their attention. They are ignoring me and it will soon be past the 30 day window that I purchased the first harness and they may try to not take it back.

Just wired up my iJDMtoy kit, it works but half the LED's in the bulb are either burned out or just not lighting up. I bought the kit used so it's possible the bulbs might need to be replaced. Should I just get some new bulbs from VLEDs or is the issue more likely to be within the kit itself?

Yeah at first I thought the LED bulbs were just cheap china crap as well but upon further glance I noticed the exact same LED's on both sides were burned out! How likely is that to be? I'll still get some new better quality bulbs but I have a suspicion these kits are just garbage. I think I may go back to Nokya Yellows..

Our cars have BI XENON head lights meaning the low beams and high beams are incorporated into the projector housing. There's a shutter inside the projector that cuts half the light output when using low beam mode.
When you hit the high beams, the shutter moves completely out the way and allows light to shine everywhere.
These bulbs you see people are replacing with LEDs are used as DRLs only.
There are some vehicles that use the DRL bulbs as high beams also, but the TL is not one of them. On the TL the DRL is specifically only for DRL use. Not high beams.

My ijdmtoy harness didn't work at all. I just ended up plugging the bulbs straight up and had no drl light on the dash anyway. Been this way couple months no problems so far

blah!
this is what I ended up doing.. For those who are interested.
I tried this iJDMtoy thing but it wasn't working that great because the relay in it sucks and is terrible quality.
Tried to get warranty. Guy said its past the period.. Even though I didnt install it till a few months after and it was basically brand new. It failed on me within the first week.. But not going to get into that.
I bought a regular morimoto relay and installed it into the LED DRL bulbs. Where the switch part of the relay is. I wired that directly to the battery with a switch between the circuit that runs to my dash.
I hooked up the resistors to the factory DRL plugs to trick the computer into thinking there is a DRL there.
Now I have full control of the DRL so I can have my low beams and DRLs on at night. Looks pretty sweet in my opinion.
And its cheap. You just need to buy a regular relay. Some wiring. A switch. LED bulbs. And 2 resistors. I tossed the bulbs that came with it in favor of VLED bulbs. Much closer to the HID color and brighter.

So i just ordered the Vled 6000k LED DRL kit. Came with a harness and 2 resistors. if i follow the Ijdm DUI, i would only need 1 resistor? please correct me if im wrong seeing as how it came with 2 resistors.
Also im assuming i just have to plug the 1 resistor into 1 of my factory light sockets. so the other socket i would just tape it up and nothing would be connected to it?

Surprised to see all these issues with the ijdm kit. I must have installed mine about a year ago now and have never had an issue, besides upgrading bulbs that is.
J riddle, I would offer some help, but it's been so long now that I can't remember the details. All I do know is that both resistors were used, one on each side.
