I want the TL so bad but....
I make only 7$ working at Subway full time. Is there any way I could afford the TL by lease or buying and financing over 7 years?

I think you should be both realistic and honest with yourself. Once you factor in additional costs such as fuel, maintenance, insurance, plus your lease or car payments, you may be approaching 50% of your total income. For now, until you get a better paying job, set your sights lower. It's good to have goals, but be sure that the goals you set for yourself are meetable and beatable. Gradually, as you progress you can raise those goals and before you know it you will be in a TL or something better. Good luck to you.

You COULD but you'd be an absolute slave with no end in sight. Why bother?
Just better yourself, have patience and then you can afford a new car then, perhaps an '08 with SW-AWD, hybrid and a flux capacitor

Like I said, go to school and graduate...then get a better job.
Either that or you drive a used 1990 honda civic...
Dude TL uses Premium gas...@ $2.47 per Gal, you wont have enough to get to work.

if you "SAVE" the money you plan to put into a TL over 7 years, you can probably buy 2 of them in 7 years. At $7/hr, you'd be walking the plank towards a repo! And how's your credit? Bad or no credit means your $33K car = $50K over 7 years! Not a good decision at this point in time, IMO. Listen to Neorick, use the money for a good education, do well, and then you can buy 10 of them! America is a land of opportunity (which so many people waste), so if you're smart, take advantage of it! Good Luck!

TL-SHAWD 6MT Rocks!
you may have to use the NAVI to deliver pizza (like the guy in the Bimmer commercial).
Seriously, if you really want it, get a second job, or a better job to compensate, or it will not be worth spending 90% of your salary in the car... make it easier on yourself and be happier. Anything is possible, if you work hard for it.
I love the Ferrari Modena and the new F430,
but in my case, I have to make a little more before I can afford it.
same thing applies...
isn't she a beauty ?
btw: premium gas is $1.96 here in Houston.
best wishes

You guys are right of course, but I'm sure that's not what he wanted to hear.
An alternative is to start saving now and wait a few years when they start showing up on used car market and then look for one you can afford comfortably.

Given the limited information you supplied it would be very difficult to determine whether the TL would be an appropriate car for you. What you should do is make a list of your monthly/yearly expenses and determine how much you make, but more importantly how much you spend on a monthly basis.
Example:
Income
240 +/- per week
Expenses
Rent, Food, Car Payment, Gas, Tuition etc etc
Once you have the budget you will better be able to determine what is 'affordable' based on your income.
What you may want to do is set aside the money you would typically pay for a car (TL or otherwise) and place it in a seperate bank account each month as if you were already making the payment. This would serve 2 purposes, the first being the actual saving of money to reach your goal (the purchase of the car), and second you will be able to guage what impact a payment like this will have on your finances with little risk (i.e. you are not locked into a payment).
Make a goal for yourself. Place a picture of the TL next to your bed. Look at it each morning and each night and more importantly work to reach your goal.
Apparently some of the posters on this board forget that we all start somewhere (in your case the subway making 7 per hour). I think this has alot to do with the instant gratification society that we live in, but alas I digress. To put things into perspective I started out bagging groceries for 3.16 an hour and worked to move up the ranks (schooling, self education etc) and was able to achieve my goals. Don't let anyone tell you that you will never do this, or never do that.
To them I say
America is truly the land of opportunity. If you want it bad enough, you CAN achieve it!!

Have you ever seen the commercial of the guy who bought a beemer, but told his friends he was too bus yto go out at night. Turns out he wound up delivering their pizza because he had to have annoother job to make the payment.
You don't want to be a slave to your financing. Even considering a car to be financed over 7 years is a really bad idea. You'll wind up paying A LOT of money for it in the long run.
You've really got 2 choices, get a total beater car and save up money and have your TL in a few years. Set your goals more realistically, and go for an RSX/TSX/Accord V6 this time around and maybe a few cars down the road you can get the TL.

Hate to burst your bubble, but the people on this forum are trying to tell you something. No creditor will grant someone a $35,000 loan at $7/hr. It just won't happen whether you finance or lease. That income will never justify such a purchase regardless of the number hours you work. We're talking >$34,000 depending on taxes, licensing, accessories. Then you have to insure it. Then you have to maintain it (gas, checkups, tires, brakes, etc). Reality check:
$7/hr x 40 hr = $280
Minus taxes = approx. $160 left over/week
$160 x 52 weeks/year = $8320 yearly income
$8320 / 12 months = $693.33 monthly income
Estimated TL payment if financed approx. = $600
That leaves you $93.33 a month
Figure gasoline at $25 for full tank and you gas up 3 times a month = $75
$93.33 - $75 = $18.33
Think you can manage to use $18.33 a month to feed yourself?
What about when your insurance premium comes in the mail?
Maintenance expenses every 3750 miles?
Oh yeah, what about RENT or MORTGAGE where you live?
What about your monthly utilities? Cell phone, A/C, heat, water, electricity?
Even if the TL were leased with lower payments, you still won't be able to afford your other expenses. Invest in yourself by going to school before you invest in material things. Simple as that. I've met people who work below $10/hr and it makes me wonder how they can afford to buy a $55,000 Cadillac EXT on 22" spinners on such a salary... and at the end of a hard day's work, they park their expensive ride in front of a 40 year old house or rundown apartment in a not-so-fabulous part of town. Regardless whether you're serious or not about your inquiry, it doesn't matter. As the saying goes, "No study, no money."

These people still talking to this guy must not be reading the entire post!!!!!! This guy has already claimed to own a TL in another thread. Have you noticed he has not responded to anything. I doubt he even read the thread again. Hey Mods, can we get a lock down on this one, it is obviously pointless. Thanks!!!!
