i recently asked questions about HID foglight on this forum since iam new here and have no sense of machine..i wanted to change fog light.
i was having difficulty selecting lights , at that time i received a private message from 'lookinco' who wrote 900s thread so i guessed he is expert about car and
trustable member - Acurazine is very reliable site for me.
he said on message that he could help me about HIF foglight and offered me his
product for a sale. I was very pleased and sent him $239.99 through Paypal.
after i sent the money , he reponded saying tracking number will be given.
and he is gone...i sent the money last thruseday and since that he never repond
anything although i wrote him many private messages...
i am getting nerve and feel terrible...
i don't want to think it is frude but if it is then what should i do???
since i am still a studnet $239.99 is a lot to me ....
do anyone know him? a friend of his? tell him that i am waiting his repond...

Hey there canadakks, I'd suggest checking out this thread. It's from the Black Market forum here on AZ and it's a Sticky on the page where users can leave feedback (both positive & negative) for members they've had dealings with. Check if he's on there...in the mean time, hopefully some others can give you some input.

Can you find the thread which you originally started communicating with him in?

i tried to send him email but it returned, i guess he deleted his account!!???

I highly doubt lookinco got rid of his account. It takes 5 or more days for paypal stuff to clear many times. check your bank account to see if the money is still there. He is having problems with his car and maybe attending to them instead of loging on to the site to check his messages. Search his name find one of his threads and click on his avatar picture and it will tell you the last time he was online.

 

i escalated it to payapl claim

From what I can see in your other thread, it's only been a week, unless I didn't read it right.

 

I had deleted this thread while I checked with lookinco, thinking this might just be a delay or some logical reason for not shipping the item and providing shipping information, or at least replying to canadakks's PM's.

I am opening it now because all attempts to contact lookinco have been fruitless.

He has not replied to my PM, and I sent him an email to his profile email address which was immediately returned as nondeliverable.

If I do not hear from lookinco by tomorrow I will have no choice but to ban him permanently from these forums.

He has been browsing the forums almost every day since this started, so I know he is still around even though he is not posting or replying.

 

it's a shame if he steals money from people here.
he owes one of the fastest TL in Vancouver and has done up an odyssey locally here.

Don't know why he would do that since Vancouver is a small city, I've seen both of his rides many times on the road.

 

find him and bash him! But seriously that sucks.. I would seriously go out looking for him if he was near by

Guys, give him a break! It's midterm exam season in Vancouver Universities!

The reason he hasn't responded is because he has been very busy with his midterms and studying lately. School is tough! Give him a break!

He's been so busy that he hasn't been able to take my car to test out the J-pipe.

To be honest there is no excuse when it comes to other ppl's money. A simple email or call would fix this issue. "hi i have an exam, hi someone passed away, etc."

I've always thought this guy was a bit shady... bit I never thought he'd start rippin folks off.

This is the same guy that built the first and only 3.5L SUPERCHARGED 3G... from MDX engine parts (before the TL-S was released), reverse engineered a greddy E-manage, but even after a year into the build, he had yet to post a dyno chart.

I just figured he was full of BS, or the build/tune didn't go so well.

Hope this gets resolved.

It only takes 2 minutes to login in and post a comment... so he is full of shit and i HATE people who take money from others and and just act like if they don't respond back for a couple of weeks everyone will forgot that he just robbed someone. WHAT AN ASS!!!

 

He sent the trakcing number to Paypal on 27th of Oct without any explaination to me
the item is coming now though, i don't know what that is....
i don't understand why he never tried to talk me??? and explained nothing???
he is probably scared to be clamed? or something?
hope it is right item so that i finish this stupid case...
now paypal is asking me weather cancel the claim or not...this also stupid because who knows what is shipping? if i cancel the case by being providing the tracking number, what a unwise action in the middle of the period..
there is no action required and can not...even though i want to write to paypal that if the item is correct, i would cancel.
