How's this for an install price?

So I went to the Acura Dealership this morning and asked them to see what the price would be for the following install on an 06 TL

Full Aspec Bodykit with the 07 TL-S rear Aspec Lip

Rear Swaybar

Shocks and Springs

Catback Exhaust (ATLP Quad Exhaust!!!)

They quoted me $493.60 Taxes Included.

I know I could do the aspec, swaybar, shocks, and springs. But Its COLD and I don't think 493 is that bad of a price for all.

What you all think?

Sorry if this is wrong section to post

that's a great price IMO. My dealership wanted $200 just to install a Camber Kit

HOLY CRAP!!

I think that's a great price.

My dealer said $897 - just for Springs!!!

Most indies wanted $300 - $350 for springs; lowest was $240. Again that's just springs. So it's like you're getting the Catback and A-Spec install for ~$250.

For a dealership - that's a steal. Jump on it.

indeed, that's a great price for all those items done by dealer. normally, they charge an arm and a leg for single job like springs.

That's an awesome price. Wrap it up and make sure it's in writing. You better hurry before they do happen to change their mind like THTL said.

they made a mistake. guarantee it, unless your sleeping with the service manager. the labor for the springs is not as easy as other cars.

type s rear lip on a 04-06 needs some modification. i wouldnt even think they would do it cause its not meant for it. they have to cut the bumper.

everything else is pretty simple. shocks can be done same time as springs so no biggie, RSB is easy and can be done right with the exhaust.

if they honor that price period, then take it.

No, it only requires the bumper to be cut if you want it to look right. You could technically just put it on there and let the base bumper show through the mesh, which I'm sure is what they'd do.

Got my appointment scheduled for Friday morning, when everything should be in. Forgot to get it all in writing, but I am going to stop by tomm morning and get them to write it out.

I spoke with the "Master Tech" who is the guy thats gonna do the install. He says he is aware of the necessary cuts. so lets hope he knows what he's talking bout

Can't WAITTTTT

Thanks for all your inputs on this.

Yeah I agree, they made a mistake there. I'd say jump on it before they revise it! It's dirt cheap for that much labor from a dealer! Best of all you will stay in warranty!

I agree with you except that I'm out of warranty. Already broke the 53K mark. But weird thing the dealership is willing to give me 4yr 100k extended warranty for $3,000.

3 grand a lil steep, Considering that they would probably void out the warranty claim blaming it on some aftermarket component

Ya that offer is kinda gimmick because I think extended would have been cheaper if you took it when the car was new. It's up to you and how long you plan to keep the car. I don't plan to keep my car past 100k and don't forsee too much. My friend has a curb damage plan on his wheels.......Now that's something I wish was offered to me when I bought my car! I would have bought it in a heartbeat!

no, you still have to cut the bumper even if you leave the middle part on. you cut off the exhaust opening on the regular bumper and a bit above it. thats the absolute minimum.

if you leave the middle piece of the lower part of the bumper on, its going to show. im assuming thats what ur talking about. it only looks ok on an NBP. any other color and it shows a lot and looks funny.

i have mine cut all the way across cause i dont want the white showing thru the grill
