Moved to 3GTL.

Do you mean the lower fog mod? The 05 TL does have fogs, they are integrated in the headlight housing.

There is a DIY in the 3G Garage/Service Dept. It is a sticky on the main 3G TL page.
Welcome to the site.

Yeah you're right. It is difficult.

Clicking on a sticky : https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/3g-tl-service-department-aka-garage-questions-answers-check-here-first-553557/

and then clicking on where it says in big BLUE letters: "CLICK HERE TO OPEN AND SEE LISTING OF TOPICS" and tells you to use Ctrl+F to quickly search for a keyword

and then after you clicked the link in big BLUE letters, it takes you to this link: https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/3g-tl-garage-faq-3g-tl-newbies-553554/

and then hit Ctrl+F and put in "fogs"

and then it takes you to all the threads including the DIY for fogs.

It's great you're teaching people to do things themselves, but I find leaving a direct link is much more helpful to them.

https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/g-031-diy-accord-foglight-mod-without-removing-spec-bumper-717204/

You see, the amount of time it takes to type out instructions and teach them how to search the garage, etc. is probably much longer than pulling up the link yourself and posting it.

Sorry if you don't see the 'value' of me typing out these instructions. I guess it's a better idea to spoon feed people all the time?

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.

Like I said, it's great how you taught him

Perhaps leaving a link to the DIY thread + teaching = golden?

glad to know your willing to do the work others should be capable of doing themselves.
It's not like this is the first forum that has implemented a search function.

plus, we've all been there. So its our duty to pass it along to the new comers. = )

With all due respects, that's not a DIY AT ALL. It's more to the effect of, "Here's some HQ shots of a shop installing my fogs", and features some sloppy-ass wiring.

OP, if you have any questions, please let me know. Your're going to need to pop out the lower grilles and trim to fit the fog bezels. This can be time consuming work as there's a good deal of cut, test fit, cut, repeat, etc. Once you have the fogs installed, you will need to install the wiring. Depending on how you want it wired, there's only 2 wires on the engine side (power, ground) that will need to be attached....lead the green wire from the fog harness through the wirewall (there's an blank grommet there, FTMFW), and attach the green wire from the fog harness to the green wire on the switch. From there, you'll have a blue wire, this is your trigger wire, and attach the other (forget the color) to fuse 32 (IIRC). Just one ground wire left and you're done.

The DIYs for foglight install on this site SUCK, and are a nightmare to find in OP's defense. While this site is awesome in 99% of it's DIYs, this one falls short.

Ok this might be a silly question but would it be possible to just wire the lower fog lights to the fog lights in the headlight. I mean simply just splice into the wires. Just a thought. Then they would work off the factory switch.

Sure, you can trigger your relays off of anything...don't know why you'd want to constantly run your fogs, though...

I would like to clarify something.

My friend offered to do the install for me and I helped along as best I can, documenting what was done as much as I was able to.

The whole install was a PAIN IN THE ASS. for a neat freak like me, my friend took about 8 hours spread across two days (an entire weekend) just because of the trial and error to test fit the bezels where they are right now. so yes, this is TIME CONSUMING WORK and took so much time to get perfect that my friend pretty much said no to everyone else who has asked me to ask him if he wanted to do it again - even if paid.

Yes its not a full on DIY as one would hope, but its as close as it can get for something that really was never fully documented to the point that someone can look at it and replicate. Besides, I didnt classify it in the DIY catalog here - the powers that be did.

So while I agree with you its not a full on DIY, I do disagree on the "sloppy ass wiring". thats where I take offense. my friend did an excellent job for something he did for me as a favor. how I documented it doesnt do justice to the level of detail he had to go through to satisfy my being a neat freak.

that said, this project is not for the faint of heart. shit even i wouldnt have attempted to start it had my friend not offered to do it for me.

How would this constantly run the fogs I can turn them off with the switch.
I have an 04 TL that has the fog lights built into the headlights. They are on a seperate switch from the headlights. I can turn the fog lights off with out turning off the headlights. Now the one think i cant do yet is turn the fog lights on without turning the headlights on. but i am working on that mod now and should have it done soon.

Why go through all that work since your '05 already has fog lights?

The only mod to consider is to add a Daytime Running Lights module like I did so the current Fogs do double duty.

The mod is even easier to do: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...ight=drl%2Bdiy
